Dilino Hotel Santorini — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Having read previous reviews, we entered with appropriate expectations and were neither disappointed or surprised. Calling this a hotel is a bit of a stretch as it has precisely zero facilities. | There is no reception desk, only a mobile number pinned to a wall; luckily some friendly locals were able to track down the owner in under 15 minutes ( any future guests should simply phone/WhatsApp the provided number, with the free WiFi)| There is no bar, restaurant, luggage storage, or on-duty staff (other than the aforementioned owner via text); rooms are basic but clean.| However....the rooms have a fridge, Aircon, a decent TV you can use for netflix/prime/YouTube, a mini safe, wetroom with a good shower ( but we had no hot water one day because the sun wasn't doing its job of heating the tank on the roof) most rooms have a balcony/terrace with seating and the location is absolutely brilliant.| There isn't a restaurant, but there are 2 dozen within a 2 minute walk, it's 60 seconds from the beach and despite this "hotel" being one step up from a tent, I would stay there again in a...

The experience was really good the beach and a bunch of cute restaurants and shops are all around! The beach is very very close and it’s so beautiful with an incredible view! The bus stop to Thera is 2 seconds away! Such a great location!!! Staff is so accommodating and friendly. They were so eager to help with anything. The receptionist is wonderful she gave us tips and recommendations, she even gave me and my friend insight on the culture of santorini. She was a great person to even have a long conversation with as if she was a friend of your own. The staff tries their very best to make their guests happy and are very professional! Rooms and balconies are cute and have character. Their patio area is very beautiful with flowers and instagram worthy pics! Supermarkets are open all the time and convenient!! I loved my stay and would recommend to anyone to come stay...

Stay away from this hotel.

You can smell mold in the rooms really strongly, it is not possible to get fresh air to the rooms. They are trying to hide the mold by a new paint but it doesnt remove the mold itself and the smell.

Our room was full of mold, with dirty walls and we had to ask for a new one which smelled the same way. The floor in the bathroom was really dirty, there were dirty stains on the pillows and bed sheets, there were rests of sea shells on the floor in the bathroom - obviously the room was not cleaned at all.

We decided to leave and the owner didnt want to accept cancellation and we lost the money which we paid for this stay. He was arrogant and not willing to communicate at all - not answering the phone. There was nobody else to speak to accept for the man painting the rooms who tried to help us but...
