Mazaryk Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Sacatepéquez

We loved our experience at Mazaryk from start to finish! Fernando is a great host and was so wonderful the whole way through our stay. Before arrival, he communicated with us and gave us information we needed regarding tours for Volcano Acatenango and shared photos and directions to make it even easier to find the property. Fernando was also very helpful throughout our stay, accommodating us to extend our stay for a few extra nights, walking us to get the bus for Acatenango and giving us tips and recommendations for places to visit. The property is in super condition and is very well maintained and always thoroughly cleaned. On top of this, the rooms were beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. It’s very close to the town with a small shop just around the corner. We loved being able to meet other travellers during breakfast time. The breakfast was truly spectacular (the best pancakes you’ll ever have) and without a doubt, the most delicious hostel/B&B breakfast we’ve ever experienced. We had a wonderful time at this place. The host was very friendly and welcoming, always replying fast to our questions and helped with the check-in. We really enjoyed being close to the city center, but not in it, as it’s very crowded and stressful. This place however, has a peaceful atmosphere. It’s clean and we really enjoyed having a good bathroom and nice hot shower. Our host also made a lovely pancake breakfast with fresh fruit every day and explained some local customs and culture to us. We recommend this place for every traveler, who looks for a bit more peace, calmness, good facilities and a friendly personal vibe...

My partner and I loved our stay with Fernando at Mazaryk B&B.

It was clean, located in a quiet neighbourhood with great views of the surrounding volcanoes. Fernando was an excellent host who was always up for a chat and gave great suggestions about how to prepare for the Acatenango hike.

It had the feel of a homestay, but with the social vibe of a hostel, as you eat breakfast with other guests at the same table each morning at 8am. And you definitely don't want to miss the breakfast because Fernando cooks the best pancakes.
