We are not picky at all with hostels, especially when the price is that cheap. However, having a cheap price doesn't justify such a dirty place, bad customer service, pictures not matching with reality and little professionalism from all workers there.

It seems they don't clean pillowcases and sheets in between guests. We complained politely when we arrived that pillows were smelling like dry droll. The "cleaner" came and smelled it in front of us in a very inappropriate way, looking at us as if we were crazy. They said they changed them but they were smelling exactly the same when we came back. On the top of this, sheets might be from 1st World War period as well, full of pilling and faded colours.

There were only 2 (broken, full of mold and with no lock at the door) showers for I don't know how many rooms in the hostel. Lucky us we cancelled the reservation before needing to take a shower or we would have probably come back home with fungus.

After the whole day visiting Budapest, we came back in the evening to chill for a bit and one new guest came to us saying that we were in his bed. Apparently, while we were away, they gave one of our beds to another client with no notice. When we complained, after needing to explain to 3 different people what happened (cause they were so disorganised they didn't understand properly whose fault it was) they told us we had to move to another room or be in separate rooms. What would have happened if we arrive at night and we just discover someone sleeping in our bed with no explanation?

After all this, and reading other reviews alerting about bed bugs; we decided to cancel the reservation and move to another hostel that same night. They even tried to keep the money saying it was not possible to cancel, which of course we didn't accept, and we even had to go back next day again to take the money, as they said they didn't have the money that night.

Terrible experience. Just terrible. I do not recommend. ||We booked a private room with bathroom for 4 persons. Upon arrival, they said that they changed it to a shared room for 6 people, but it will be only us in that room, which BTW doesn't have it's own bathroom, but instead it is shared to all the rooms to the floor. We agreed. Then, our first night in, they brought 2 more persons in our room at 3 a.m., loudly waking us up and said that we need to take them inside. We agreed again. Then, our 3rd day there around 5 p.m., after 20km walking around Budapest, we return to the hostel, only to find out that all of our stuff has been packed by the staff, telling us that we made 2 day reservation, instead of 3 days. After showing them the reservation from Booking.com, they said that there is nothing to do and that they already rented the room to other people. So we had to rent additional room for 30 euros, only for 2 persons. The other 2 had to wait in the common room, while in our "old" room there was only 1 guest. ||The sheets are dirty and the room is dusty. They don't vacuum or clean spired webs.||The two bathrooms, even though are shared between 4 rooms with capacity of 24 people, are decently clean. ||No breakfast was offered, even though it is included in the price||If I could, I would've give them (minus) - 5 stars. ||Bonus: either someone from the staff or the new roommates from the 1st night stole our 2 umbrellas and phone charger. Didn't want to make a big deal and complain since we had awesome time in Budapest and wanted to stay...

This hostel needs a lot of changes. I wouldn’t recommend to stay.||||Since the beginning it was complicated. There is no visible sign to find it. Then, when I finally found it, no one was available to check me in and I had to wait more than half an hour for someone to do it. ||||I was changed four times of room. The first night, I arrived to my room and someone was sleeping in my bed. The second night, they gave the room to a group and was changed again. I finally ended in a six people room, when I had booked for a four people room. ||||The rooms don’t have lockers for everyone and they don’t have enough padlocks to give to the guests. There are only two showers and two toilets for all the rooms. And there are no women only rooms available. The included breakfast is only cereal, milk and tea. ||||In general, the hostel needs remodeling and the pictures that are in their web page and trip advisor are not recent. The location is not bad, but, it is not exactly near. Is a 6 min walk to the Parliament, 15 min walk to the chain bridge and 30 min walk to the Jewish District. ||||The only good thing is that they knew I was not happy and decided not to charge me for one of the three nights I...
