Gyűrű Pub & Pódium — Restaurant in Budapest

I liked this place before but yesterday the quality was terrible. We booked a table for 10 by e-mail and also reassured it on the phone. And when we arrived they could offer a table for 6 and they told us they didn't read our e-mail. (What about the phone is a mystery). The place was full on a Tuesday evening which means there is a big demand. It could have been a good sign, but the place is not prepared for this amount of people. Only 2 bartenders served for around 60 customers. We had to wait a lot for our drinks and some other guests at the neighbor tables gave up the waiting and left the place. We were really hungry and I remember from previous experience about the good food and snacks which is also visible on the website but not available on the spot. They only had some sandwiches (7 pieces in total for the 10 hungry people and no vegetarian option). We asked if we can order a pizza from outside in this case if they cannot offer what they advertise on the menu, and they said NO! It was a big-big disappointment. Also as I'm pregnant and they didn't offer proper food was really unsatisfying. The drinks was OK and at the end my colleagues had a good time thanks to the level of alcohol consumption without food in the stomach :-p. The place still has the possibility to develop. For this amount of guests they need to hire more bartenders especially with bookings. They need to keep their website up to date about the menu according to what they can offer. And need more flexibility if they don't provide what thy promise at least let the guest order...

Friendly service, great drinks selection, very reasonable prices, especially given the location, being so close to Parliament. Was also a fun place to play darts, although the dart board good maybe do with update. A really good location for large groups and small, with nice decor also. Will be back for sure....

Stopped off here for a bit of a walk around just had a few drinks. Nice little quiet stop beside the Hungarian ministry of defence. Walk past the pub down the left side to the wall with views of the city and there is a small park there as well have a little wonder. We got here with the small bus tour...
