I had a very bad experience with one of the guys working there, tall guy with beard. Me and other 2 people were the only ones waiting to be served and after several mins, in a rude way (just shaking his head and looking at us as we were annoying him) he told us to move slightly on the left to be served (nobody was there, couldn't you just ask us what we wanted?). Ok, we asked for 2 campari spritz and a beer, we got served a beer and two campari soda. At the moment of asking for the wine to be added in the spritzs, this guy told us that in the campari spritz there is no wine. As Italians, we knew he's wrong, and plus, his colleges have always served us very good campari spritzs, PROPERLY MADE..I told him this, and he claimed that his colleagues were wrong if they served a spritz "like that". This guy does not know cocktails and not even loyalty to collegues. Nor education. Hope I never cross him again because the place is worth a visit! I'll go back but I'll make sure someone else...
Read moreI know that some colleagues like this place and decided to try it out. It was the worst experience for me. We came at 19:25, at 20:00 for the first time we were asked if we would like something to drink. At 20:20, I started to feel frustrated and asked the waiter if anyone ever planned to ask our food orders. So, 1 hour not to bring food out but just to ask about it. The food came in at 21:05. Then we had a whole round of desserts, which went faster than the rest, but nowhere close to the time that something cooked in advance should be served. We asked to pay at 22:00. No kidding, it took the waitress a half an hour to deal with it, but she still made mistakes and ended up with an extra bill of unpaid items that I had to cover in the end (12 euro). All of that was a complete mess. And maybe it would be worth it if the food was mind-blowingly fantastic. It was not. It was solidly normal food, sorry to say but not worth of 3 hours spent there fighting for any service...
Read moreWhat a super experience having dinner and the ruin bars district! A vibrant and great atmosphere but still very relaxed! The two men and the lady that served the tables were very polite and friendly and had the knowledge of the all plates and wines the restaurant was serving! The atmosphere and the vibe was nothing Hungarian like and it was towards Mediterranean! All the plates we order was very, very good and it was the first time we enjoyed the food and the whole experience! We took bean goulash soup, arancini, the avocado salad, and the roasted duck breast x 2 along with wine! For desert we took the pistachio tiramisu which was great and the chocolate cake. The day we visited the restaurant was closing at 2200 but although the kitchen staff was leaving the premises we were never rushed as we were still enjoying our wine! Our number one place to dine or just enjoy a bottle of wine in Budapest. If we come back in Budapest we will definitely...
