Mitico Budapest — Restaurant in Budapest

We were literally a group of more than 10 people. No one EVER told us at the beginning that it is not possible to split the bill (which is VERY normal I still don’t get this stupid rule I just think they are lazy to do it) everywhere, no matter how fancy it’s the place is always possible! The waiter was super aggressive towards my boyfriend! My boyfriend went to order something at the bar (because no one was coming to ask anymore) and the blond waiter (apparently the manager) literally told him “ if you don't pay for the whole table we won't serve you! “ , they were also rude and aggressive with my friends, we are not coming back which is their lost we were the people making everyone dance and added the pleasant vibe We all wanted to continue consuming waaaay more but this stupid rule of paying a huge bill for one person is crazy! So NEVER come in big groups they will tell you to pay everything (which is impossible) And do like us we just went to another place to drink and spend our money, their lost we were a big group that wanted to continue consuming your lost! A few days ago, on my last day in budapest i came to this place for breakfast, i wish i knew about the place sooner! It was open at 7am and has an all you can eat buffet style breakfast for 12 euro and i had the option to also get a glass of champagne with the breakfast, which of course i got to keep the vibes going throughout my morning. The staff were extremely welcoming, they were all very pleasant! I felt at home the second i walked in, it was a relaxing atmosphere with good music and energy, plenty of seating to choose from both indoor and outdoor, the place was also nice and clean, everyone spoke english also which was a bonus, the food tasted great! Compliments to the chef, there was 2 different styles of scrambled eggs, there was different types of salads, juices, pastries, all fresh! There was different types of meats to make up an engliah breakfast also but im a vegetarian so didnt pay much attention to it. The iced coffee here was also really nice and well presented. I wanted to spend my whole morning here, I have no complaints and when in budapest again i'll be back for sure! 10/10...

One of the worst bar experiences I’ve ever had — absolutely unacceptable behavior from the staff. The waiters were not only rude but seemed openly racist, completely ignoring me and my friends while actively helping others. We stood waiting to ask if there were free seats, only to be brushed off or ignored altogether. It was actually a stranger who stepped in and offered to bring us extra chairs — the staff couldn’t be bothered.

Even after we were seated, it took 15 full minutes before anyone brought us a menu or even acknowledged our presence. When we finally managed to order, we were charged 3900 Ft for an Aperol, even though it was listed at 2500 Ft in the menu we were given. When we pointed this out, the waiter just shrugged and said he “didn’t know.” No explanation, no correction, no help at all.

After leaving, we double-checked and found that even the updated menu price is 2600 Ft, still far from the 3900 Ft we were charged (not including service fees). This place feels like a scam wrapped in hostility. Never coming back and definitely warning others...
