Mais nous y retournerons...||||I just spent two days in Budapest with my 25 year old daughter at the hotel Budapest City Central. This hotel is not a conventional hotel, it is located on the second floor of a large building accessible by stairs or elevator. It's location is ideal because opposite the Great Synagogue, a 5 minute walk from the Jewish quarter where we had a great evening and 10 minutes from the most famous 'ruin bar'. It was also at about 10 minutes away by foot from the largest pedestrian street where there are shops, bars, restaurants ... it's lively day and night.||The reception at the hotel was nice, the room very nice: good size, perfectly clean and maintained and decorated with small pictures of artists, the bathroom too was functional and had a strong hot shower. There was air conditioning, a TV, a large wardrobe with enough hangers and a hair dryer. But there wasn't a safe in the room, or a minibar and tea and coffee were available in self service at the entrance (just next to the room). It was exactly what we needed. Otherwise, Budapest is a beautiful city with wide avenues, decorative architecture, its people are very welcoming and bilingual: everyone speaks English. Not having much time we chose to visit Budapest by bus and tourist boat that allowed us to see the main places without necessarily visiting them all. We'll...

I don’t know what to really say. It is a big city you need more that 4 days to see the important buildings and monuments. Not so clean, the metro and the buses are so complicated, so easy to lost. The coffee shops and restaurants are far away the one of the other. The Main Street looks like it’s abandoned. You really need to download bolt taxi app if you want to find your hotel. The ferry boat to Margaret’s Island really bad. The told us they transfers us to island and there’s so many places to visit, but in January everything was closed and it was a rainy day, we didn’t have anywhere to go there for coffee or get warm. The drinks are cheap but the souvenirs, the restaurants and ticket for metro tram and buses costs much. In restaurants they keep 15% for tips. Nice buildings though. Some bridges are not open for people but only for...
