Liechtenstein Apartments — Hotel in Budapest

Despite the mixed reviews, we took a risk and stayed at this place for 3 nights. They do ask for a card or bank xfer of taxes/fees prior to the stay. If this is a problem for you, you may not want to indulge. We have ran into this in our travels, and it doesn't bother us, we create virtual card off of our credit card and send that to such places for 1 time charge.

The check-in process was easy.. we faced a hurdle b/c their email with the door codes went to my junk folder and no one was available on their side to help me... for 20 mins, until I happened to look in my junk mail.. and it was easy afterwards.

There was a slight strange smell when we got to our room, two puffs of perfume in the room took care of it and it never came back.

The room was basic, but clean, we had a mini fridge, microwave, small TV, and a kitchen sink, single cooktop and some basic kitchen utensils. There was even a small coffee table with two chairs.

The bathroom had the basics, was clean, and had good hot water after waiting for a minute.

The bed was comfortable enough with sufficient bedding and pillows.

The hair dryer worked but had a crack in it, we notified them over text to ensure we didn't get charged for this.

There is potential for noise when other guests are in the corridor outside the room. If you are a light sleeper this may bother you as people return at all hours and unlock and slam doors.

The best thing about this place is location.. if you are into night life, it's within walking distance to all the main spots including multiple ruin bars and hundreds...

I would like to express the awful impression we gained from our staying in your rooms (1, 2). We expected the least ,yet we didn't even get this. Specifically, we experienced extreme cold in your apartments, since the air condition was not even functioning (which we find prohibitive for such cold days). When we tried to send you an email expressing our worries, you only answered that we should plug the air condition,as if we were dump. The bathroom was also cold, and full of humidity. There were not second towels ,or bed sheets provided, although we had booked the apartments for four nights. As a result we didn't have the option to use freshly washed towels and warm blankets. In addition, we were only given one toilet paper and had to ask for more. We didn't experience a (friendly) welcome, we never even met you. The photos in your site had nothing to do with...

Awful experience/Scam. I booked it through snaptravel.com few days ago. Today just afternoon on the day of check-in at the hotel, I received a message from snaptravel.com. They forwarded the message from the hosts that extra 27.5 euros cleaning, as well as 4% city tax have to be transferred or the will not give acces to the room. Just after my wowing that was not announced at the time of the booking, snaptravel.com replied that it is in the "About" tab for the Lichtenstein Apartments during booking process. I checked again and found it is covered with a banner "get 10% discount" (see screenshot). It seems as very raudulent activity.
