I picked out this hostel's private quad room with a group of 3 other people, since it's a safe walking distance from most of the tourist attractions, including the train station, the Basilica, and the Dohany street synagogue. It's dirt cheap and it's squeezed in an apartment complex between 2 buildings meaning it's very small, but don't judge too quickly-it's very clean on the inside, has plenty of showers, a lounge, and a kitchen set with everything you'll need. You can't go wrong with this hostel, I fully...
Read moreWe stayed at LIVE hostel for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and check in was super easy. It's a smaller hostel but big enough to where we could spread out some. I would definitely recommend it for groups of friends backpacking together but it's not really a hostel if you're looking to make a ton of friends when backpacking solo. Very cheap and totally worth the money. A 5 minute walk from the most famous ruins bar/ Jewish district. 5-10 minutes from the metro, 15 min walk from one of the train stations. ||We loved staying here. Will...
Read moreThe building looks run down and the lift is a relic, but the hostel itself looks new and very clean. Showers were great, way above Europe/hostels standards. Even though reception is not 24h, every time staff were there they were very helpful - one even gave me a ride to the train station. The location is great, walking distance to the main attractions and 5 minutes away from the best ruin pub in the city. The only thing is that since it's quite small there are no communal areas, so great if you're a couple or a group, but not so much if you are travelling alone and want to...
