Nador Boutique- Best Location, By BQA — Hotel in Budapest

Great location in the center of Pest, close to many sites and public transport connections. The room was sufficient for an individual traveler.

We booked two rooms for family members and the accommodation did not fulfil our expectations. Both rooms were very cold, had stains on the carpet and one of the rooms had terrible smell coming out of the shower. Maintenance had to be called to inspect and repair the issues with heating and the smell. Heating did not work properly during the whole stay and the room had to be heated by using A/C. There were no toiletries in the rooms, the bathrooms were full of hard water stains. There is no one at site to address issues, the whole communication is done through Whatsapp and thus sometimes slower than needed when issues have to be solved. This showed when a different room was offered but too late after one of the guests was already unpacked and ready to go to sleep on the first of the two nights we stayed there. The elevator in the old building stopped working properly, the door did not open on the 4th floor where the accommodation is located, the guests had to get off on the 3rd floor and travel to the 4th by foot. It may be an issue for older and more immobile travelers. The rooms should definitely be better checked before guests are expected; heating, odors, stains, cleanliness inspected. When we booked this "hotel" we thought we were booking a standard hotel. It's an air B&B. So falsely advertised. I read reviews and was dreading our experience. BUT. I honestly couldn't fault the place. The host was so friendly and explained everything fully. We were able to make use of the storage cupboard to leave our luggage in on the first and last day prior to and after check out. The communal part of the building is run down but the hotel itself is beautiful. So clean and modern. There's cleaning staff there all day. So always someone around. Any issues were sorted straight away. We had breakfast included which is a 10 mins walk to a really lovely café. Breakfast was delicious and the voucher covered breakfast and a hot drink. The location is absolutely amazing. Right in the heart of Pest and right near a bridge for quick access to Buda. We are able bodied so the stairs were fine for us. Please if you have booked this hotel I hope my review gives you some peace of mind. For us it was a great experience and I would book there again if staying...

Watch out !!!! This is not a boutique hotel. Even not an hotel but last floor of a very old and rubbish residential building. The entrance and lift are not boutique at all...rubbish and old scooters, poor maintenance...Complicated access with codes. Old lift and at the end real stairs to access the rooms so be prepared if you have suitcases. No services at all and breakfast included but don't expect to have it on site... in a cafe 2 blocks away. I booked for my parents (85 and 89) and they of course could not stay under these conditions. They were expecting a real boutique hotel. We just entered the building, discovered the fake, walked off the room and offered to pay for one night for compensation and to be refunded for the 2 additional nights. The owner seems to agree but maneuver to do the reimbursement through Booking and ask them not to refund...Miserable.....people making money only with false advertising and bad service. There so many nicer place in Budapest and so many nicer Hungarian people so...
