Decent food, HORRIBLE service!! I like their pho, which is why I’ve been coming here regularly. But the staff is just so rude and incompetent, this was my last time here. They can’t even understand the customers, let alone speak in Vietnamese. And they’re just so rude, like I don’t mind if restaurants charge me service fee… what I do mind on the other hand is places charging me for their non-existing service, which perfectly describes this place in this case. I didn’t even get garlic & vinegar with my pho, had to ask the waiter to get me some. This was honestly the smallest issue, but the place was as cold as an ice box. It’s the middle of winter, snowing outside, they can at least turn on the heater a little bit. I understand they’re trying to save on electricity, but letting the customers freeze to death is something a business should never allow themselves. Also, when we were done the waitress basically just threw the bill at us and shooed us away. Like girl, can I at least put on my coat? And it wasn’t like full house or anything, there were barely any people, so that was completely unnecessary. When we got to the register, one of the employees literally had their phone on the counter and had his video camera turned on while talking to his friends and operating the register. That was super weird, like I felt embarrassed for him. I could see myself in some random person’s video camera, what the actual hell. Long story short, food’s decent, but it’s honestly not worth the hassle and the...
Read moreWe stumbled upon Quan Non while strolling through the posh area filled with exquisit boutiques. We were warmly greeted and lead to our table. The place was modest but cosy and the leather sofas extremely comfortable. It was late afternoon and there were only 4 clients beside us. We ordered Pho Bo, Pho Ga and and a plate of spring rolls. Pho was excellent. Broth was full of flavour and exactly like the one I always have in Nha Trang, Viet Nam. Banh pho noodles must have been in house made as their width was non uniform and the texture was perfect. Beside the usual herbs, lime, bean sprouts pho was served with the pickled garlic which gave the broth wonderful flavour once added. Spring rolls were also delicious. Crunchy on the outside and moist in the inside. Service was great. Waitresses were attentive and kind. We enjoyed our meal and decided to come back the next day.
Update: After the first visit we came back and tried other dishes. Afternoons are empty but in the evenings the place is packed with north east and south east Asians which is in my opinion the best assurance of authenticity of the food. In our subsequent visits everything was delicious. I recommend trying the coconut tapioca desert and ice coffee. I must say that out of all Pho I have had, all over the Europe so far, the one served in Quan Non was my favourite. Definitelly better than those...
Read moreA wonderful and delightful cafe with really amazing staff who are super friendly and always ready at no moments notice. I had a lovely mocha with some sprinkles and a bit of cream which came out to me nice and hot and within only a few minutes. I can quite happily say I'll come here every day if I lived I'm Budapest as it was really a 5 star experience and I recommend to anyone who is visiting the area to come along and try it out. Especially if you have a group of companions who you cherish with all your heart and are wanting to make many memories. The other bonuses that this little cafe offers is that it is right next to a lovely park with a wonderful view where you can sit down and just enjoy the quietness around you. Or if you feel like wanting to live life on the dangerous side then there is also a ferris wheel directly next the cafe where you can enjoy the elegant Budapest at its finest! 5 stars wish I could rate it higher!
