I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nasi and Mee, a newly opened restaurant that has already made a significant impression. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm, vibrant atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The restaurant is tastefully designed, with a cozy yet modern ambiance that perfectly complements the traditional flavors it serves.
What truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service. The staff at Nasi and Mee are genuinely friendly and attentive. From the outset, our steward Madan welcomed us with a smile and provided us with an overview of the menu. He was well-versed in the dishes, offering helpful suggestions based on our preferences. We were promptly seated and served drinks while we perused the menu.
The pace of the service was spot-on; not too quick, but never leaving us waiting. Our meals arrived at just the right time, and each dish was presented beautifully, showcasing the care and attention put into both the food and the overall experience.
As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. Nasi and Mee offers a fantastic variety of both traditional and contemporary takes on Malaysian and Southeast Asian cuisine. We started with the chicken satay , Sichuan chill dumplings as an appetizer— soft on the inside, with just the right balance of flavors. For the main course, I opted for the signature miso ramen and chicken laksa soup and it didn't disappoint.
Throughout the meal, Madan our steward were attentive without being intrusive, checking in to ensure everything was to our liking and offering refills on drinks as needed. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable.
The attention to detail extended beyond just the food and service. The restaurant’s decor, lighting, and even the music playing in the background added to the overall delightful experience, making it clear that every aspect had been thoughtfully planned.
Nasi and Mee has certainly made its mark, and I can confidently say it’s a gem that I will be returning to soon. The service was top-notch, and the food was outstanding—an experience I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Southeast Asian cuisine paired with impeccable...

And guess what? Nasi and Mee has opened up a new outlet located in one of Bangalore's prime locations, Convent road.
I got a chance to experience the fabulous dining experience there. This time, the restaurant embraced a mesmerizing underwater theme. Boasting an artistic atmosphere, the restaurant’s walls are ornately painted with patterns of Koi fish and aquatic plants in an array of wonderfully vibrant colors, giving patrons an immersive experience.
The restaurant, with its two floors, is spacious, with plenty of room to move about. The lotus-shaped lamps that adorn the wooden ceiling are also delightfully placed, further adding to the ambiance.
We started with crispy chicken and dynamite (tempura prawn) maki sushi. It was well executed in terms of clean cut of the shape of the sushi. The freshness of the ingredients are top quality, and the flavors will burst in your mouth especially when dipped in soya sauce and the bold wasabi.
There was also prawn cereal; wok tossed prawns coated with oats and other type of cereals, you can taste the juiciness and hint of sweetness from the prawns which indicate how fresh the prawns are. I highly recommend everyone to try it.
We picked Nasi goreng, Nasi lemak, and char kwe tiauw and it never misses. They were packed in flavor with eye catching presentation. The cone shaped blue sticky rice which came from blue pod flower essence stood out among the variety of vibrant condiments like chicken rendang, anchovies, pickled carrots etc..... creating harmony on the plate. Nasi goreng and char kwe tiauw are simply comforting, and all were in balanced in terms of flavors.
Do try the Matcha Boba tea drinks. It is a combination of the rich earthy flavors of matcha green tea with bouncy soft and chewy texture of tapioca pearls. This drink is refreshing; perfect sweetness loaded with antioxidants, which is beneficial for your health too.
Overall, the dining experience feels better each time. The engaging and courteous service team and the entire kitchen team lead by Chef Ujjain Singh has shown the full dedication to cooking and it reflects in the warm and welcoming feeling we get each...
Read moreOkay, so I usually just get NM delivered. Koramangala parking? No thanks, I'd rather gnaw off my own arm. Plus, I'm obsessed with their Nasi Goreng and those crunchy prawn crackers – always order extra to munch on later. But then my delivery kitchen shut down, leaving me stranded. Tragic, I tell you.
So, for Father's Day, I did the unthinkable: I actually drove to NM. Yes, to Convent Road, which is usually just my escape route from Cubbon Park traffic. A real risk, but the kids are finally old enough to appreciate things like "lamps and art" (my new selling point!), so I hoped the food would deliver too.
And guess what? It was smooth sailing! A bit of traffic, but we landed just a few minutes late and got shown right to our table.
We ordered a ton: Boba teas (mango, Thai, Hawaiian, the works), Chicken Gyoza, fancy Edamame, Truffle Dumplings, a colorful Rainbow Roll, Mushroom and Water Chestnut Dim Sum, Szechuan Chili Dumplings, Xiao Long Bao, Cream Cheese and Spinach Dumplings, and a showy Flaming Salmon. Finished with Matcha Coconut Panna Cotta. Basically, we ate all the things.
The service was perfect, and the food kept coming fast. My absolute favorites were the Szechuan Chili Dumpling – that sauce was a wild mix of sour and spicy, super zingy! – and the Mushroom and Water Chestnut Dim Sum. That mushroom one was just heavenly; you could practically feel it warming you up from the inside out. Pure comfort.
The XLBs any where other than Din Tai Fung feel like sacrilege. But never the less, it was a good effort.
The bill wasn't even scary! About ₹6400 for four of us, and we were all stuffed and happy.
Totally worth the parking stress (mostly). I'd...
