Nahar Heritage Hotel — Hotel in Bengaluru

The location of Nahar Heritage is really excellent and is how I discovered it. In past visits to Bangalore I had stayed just nearby in 5 star hotels which I found excessive in the offerings & price. But because this area is so great I looked around for a mid range accommodation nearby. |I like to do a lot of walking especially since it seems traffic is a real problem in Bangalore...Nahar is in walking distance to Cubbon Park, UB city, Church Street/MG Road and the metro (hopefully all metro routes will be operational soon...which will make this location all the more convenient). In addition there is an ample offering of many restaurants just outside the door of the hotel. ||As for the hotel itself I found all staff to be very attentive, friendly and competent in all roles here. |My room 203 was street facing so I experienced noise from that. It is an old room which is ok because it was clean and mostly working: tv, fan, wifi, hot water... |The areas that need attention is the shower head didn't work so it was only a bucket shower as an option: was fine for me. |Also the AC didn't work but was fine since I was only using fan. To note: the desk manager offered to move me to another room with working AC: he offered without me prompting and told him it wasn't necessary.|One other area needing attention is the room's door lock was the simple kind you twist the lock on the handle to lock it; the kind of knob lock you might use on a simple situation. This should be upgraded. There is signage in the room that the hotel takes no responsibility of theft/pilfering and guests should use available safe in room...which I chose not to use at my own risk (because safe seemed complicated)||The breakfast: I really have to wonder how past reviewers had issue with it. Great property with simple interiors on st marks road, in close vicinity to M G Road, Brigade Road the Metro train few minutes away. Business or pleasure this great hotel is very guest friendly and staff will pamper you.
