Kalyan Guest House Hampi — Hotel in Karnataka

Me and my partner (UK) were booked in to stay here. I spoke to the owner over the phone and booked a room for 2 nights. I also explained to the owner that we would be arriving at 5am after the night bus from Goa. When we arrived the owner said he had completely forgotten about our booking due to being ‘busy’. Over the phone he had asked for a deposit and proof of us coming, so I don’t see how he managed to forget. He didn’t apologise and told us we needed to find somewhere else to stay. He also didn’t help us find alternative accommodation. Finding another room was difficult as it was Utsav weekend. We have stayed in Kalyan Guest House for 3 days and had a great time. It has great location as it is located in the old village of Hampi so it is close to other restaurants and shops. And you can explore nearby templates from early morning without need of bike or tuk tuk. The room was clean with nice bathroom, hot water and our host was great. He arranged for us the taxi/tuk tuk from bus station early in the morning and we could do an early check-in. He also arranged as the tuk-tuk for all 3 days so we could visit all the temples and ruins. Also late check-out was possible on our last day. Plus he helped us to arrange bus tickets for our next travel to Palolem. I had booked kalyan Guest House for 2 days, Mr Jambunath (the Owner) is very friendly and helpful. I am a Solo traveller. Room was very clean, bathroom was spacious, clean and 24 hours hot water, Uninterrupted WIFI 24 hours. Helpful and pleasant Staff. Jambunatha would always call to ask if I was Safe (whenever I went to visit places). He also called me if I reached home safely. Its a Home away from home.Had planned to stay for 2 days and then remaining 5 days was planning to go to other Hotel, but, I loved this place, so extended for 5 days more.
