A quick pit stop following an afternoon walkabout in gorgeous Fort Kochi led me to this very quaint corner cafe placed at the edge of Princess Street, hardly a couple hundred metre walk from the Water Metro alighting point on this particular island.
We wandered about quite a bit in search of a decent spot to set anchor for the time being, with many candidates overlooked for lack of hygiene, menu offering and general quality/vibe. The search eventually yielded good results.
This enterprise is only clicking into gear, therefore not many patrons were present yet I was greeted by a voracious dog, Whiskey, and her master Karthik, the proprietor of this joint.
We choose to order the Club Beef Sandwich and a couple or regular ones along with a side of 6 Chicken wings (marked down from the initial choice of 8 as per their suggestion to suit 3 individuals better) and a few fruit juices - Watermelon, Pineapple and Mint Lemon.
All of the above passed the quality check with flying colours, and I was thoroughly impressed by the serving size, quality and hygienic environs. In my opinion, the Club Beef Burger was near exceptional!
Some mild grumbling regarding the quality of the patty filling was echoed amongst one of my companions, and I did feel that the bun was only good, not great. A slight increase in portion size might also be warranted.
The interiors are tastefully done and decorated in time for Christmas, very merrily so! A moderately large and open kitchen in present, well designed and orderly, clean enough to boot. (3-4 employees were present at the time of screening)
Food arrived in haste, aided by the lack of a crowd, although to be fair, it was past 5 pm when we sat down for lunch.
The owner has a cheerful and enterprising disposition, quite kind and accomodating of our requests, such as enclosing the entire space to switch on the Air Conditioning in order that we may cool our heels, and quite aptly so we did.
Pricing seemed to make sense for the quality of service and taste on offer, not much to complain about there.
Will certainly hop in without hesitation on my next visit to Fort Kochi. All the best to Karthik...

The food is absolutely fantastic. Every dish bursts with flavor — from the hearty grilled chicken salad topped with crispy bacon and boiled eggs, to their saffron mango smoothie which is creamy, refreshing, and subtly spiced. Not to mention they have the best burgers in town. You can tell each dish is made with care and quality ingredients.
And let’s talk about the coffee — hands down the best in the area! Robust, flavorful, and aromatic, it’s the kind of brew that makes you slow down and savour the moment. A true treat for coffee lovers.
The restaurant has a calm, cozy vibe — perfect for a relaxed meal or catching up with friends. What makes this experience even better is knowing that their sister café, Canvas, just around the corner, offers a completely different style of food but with the same thoughtful touch and top-notch quality. Both are owned by the same lovely team.
Highly recommend both Club House and Canvas. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, they’re two unforgettable stops in Fort Kochi’s culinary scene.

Read moreAlthough “Club House” on Princess Street has only been open for a month, I already consider myself a regular. Whether dining in or enjoying their personalized food delivery service, this place has quickly become a staple in my life. Last night, I indulged in their latest menu addition: the Club House Beef Burger Special topped with a sunny-side-up egg. One word: exquisite! In a world where “less is more” often dominates culinary trends, this burger boldly proves that balance is the key to bringing multiple rich ingredients together harmoniously. The quality is undeniable, I’ve witnessed firsthand the care the chef takes in selecting only the best ingredients. The bun? Easily the finest in town, soft yet sturdy, it doesn’t crumble or squash under the first bite. The patty? A juicy, flavor-packed masterpiece made from fresh, perfectly cooked meat. Add to that the decadence of real bacon and the velvety garlic mayo for dipping the chips, and you have a feast that’s nothing short of addictive. This is not just a burger; it’s an experience. At this latitude, you simply won’t find a better one. Kudos to the team for redefining comfort food with...
