I was the only guest at this hotel....Made me feel like staying in an old Ghost House....very creepy.....But it looks like the hotel has seen good old days.....||The hotel is a small boutique hotel....Very nice rooms....beautiful ambience....extremely clean...but being the only guest, makes it very lonely......||The restaurant and kitchen is closed....Though they advertise Bed and Breakfast.....breakfast is not served.... So absolutely no help incase if you require hot water or tea in the middle of night....||There is only one staff in the entire hotel....Mr Sanil....very helpful person....but you feel so bad, that the hotel makes him work three days at a stretch....He is in the front office....Assist you with carrying your luggage.....Does room service like bringing you drinking water and fresh towels.....repairs your television....and does everything .....One staff for the entire hotel.....For three days, he wears the same clothes and does not look he has taken a shower.....Sometimes, when you enter the hotel, you can see him sleeping in the front desk....and you walk past him and he does not know....He is sound asleep, of the three days overwork....||I feel the hotel should close for the time being, and restart when the travel has resumed.||Whatever the amenities advertised on the travel portals by this hotel is not available .....So suggesting clients to keep away from this hotel, till the travel industry has...
Read moreTogether with my wife I stayed three nights in this super clean hotel.
Before going into my review I need to mention that we had booked a different place in Kochi, but due to some unacceptable issues we left this other place shortly before midnight. In the middle of the night we knocked on the door of the Abad Pepper Route hotel. A calm and friendly man opened, showed us different rooms, checked us in and made sure we had hot water for the shower. Our true hero of this night!
What I liked: For sure, check in on such short notice, in the middle of the night (still super friendly and professional at any time of the day/night) Room was by far (!!!) the cleanest that I saw in the last 20 days traveling India (don't forget, we checked in after midnight with no staff having time to prepare the room - it was simply clean and ready for us) Room was spacious enough for two, including luggage All amenities did function perfectly (shower, aircon, TV, lights, etc.) Overall appearance of the hotel was well maintained, nice and clean Cleaning staff was also very friendly Perfect location in the heart of Fort Kochi, with anything you need in walking distance Hotel building is located in a small alley, away from the main road, which makes it very quiet (best sleep I had in weeks) Excellent value for money
What I didn't like: Absolutely nothing to...
Read moreI stayed here for a few nights and would recommend this hotel for its handy location and overall cleanliness. The staff were really helpful and friendly.||||They provide breakfast but no other meals and no bar. Breakfast is a pretty standard setup of fresh fruit salad with cereals also available, plus toast butter jam and omelette. Masala omelette wasn't available and the omelette itself was a bit oily but no real problem.||||The hotel is located close to a Kothakali traditional theatre show and also very close to a mosque. There was no loudspeaker call to prayer, although I was woken up by some low-volume chanting, but nothing too bad. When I returned to the hotel a few days later I was in a different room and don't recall that my sleep was disturbed as much, but there again my body clock was very much in Indian time by then. On the other hand, because the hotel is at the end of a small street, there is no traffic noise.||||The bedroom was of a reasonable size, and importantly was clean and everything worked. ||||Wifi was included and was pretty stable.||||The hotel is a short walk to the Chinese Fishing Nets and the ferry, so is very handy. For a basic but comfortable stay I'd be happy to...
