From the moment we walked into Cochin Fort Restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. The star of our meal was undoubtedly the largest grouper they had on offer. Cooked to perfection, the fish wrapped in a banana leaf, infused with authentic Kerala spices, was an explosion of flavors in every bite. Coupled with a cold beer that was reasonably priced, especially for Fort Kochi standards, the experience was sublime. However, what truly set this restaurant apart was its staff. A special shout-out to Bineesh who provided exemplary service. His attentiveness, genuine warmth, and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction turned our evening into an unforgettable experience. The ambiance and energy of the place only added to the charm. Lively, fun, and inviting, it felt like we had stumbled upon the heartbeat of Fort Kochi. If you're looking for a gastronomic delight combined with a vibrant atmosphere and top-notch service, Cochin Fort Restaurant is the place to be. Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend! Head to this place if you want chilled beer and sea food on a hot Kerala noon. Pick a fish off the ice counter at entrance and let the bearer know the way you want it grilled/ cooked. They also have regular curries on the menu. Vegetarians and "foodies" please excuse but there are lot of "Art Cafes" around to match your expectations. Best thing about the place is that it is not one of those seedy dingy places you associate with "Bars" in Kerala. You can definitely take your family to this place and have a good time. Choice of beer is limited to indian premium beers (not strong) and wines. Tip: reach early in evening or noon if you want more variety in sea food. If you call ahead they can arrange lobster too.

Just serving only may be 12 dishes as of now..vegetarians has hard time sitting there.. Only serving 3 types of beers..ie bullet, kingfisher blue and ultra max...thats it...is it u expect from resturant at prime location like Fort Kochi.. I ll never recommend anyone to visit there...i travelled all the way in covid from Rajasthan...but my one eve is wasted... Coming to meals...ghee rice is full of oil..no ghee...veg pulao and ghee rice both are akin...fish kerala curry is oily but bland ( see pics)..Not even serving traditional kerala fish like..karemeen pollichattu.. Serving only malabar paratha..No appam, dosa( surprising in kerala)..NO GRILL MENU BEING SERVED... This requires serious rethink for owner..

This place a good vibe. We went on a Saturday evening and the place was buzzing with people. Good food and good music is what stood out for me. We ordered Chicken 65, peanut masala, papad and onion pakoda for starters. The taste was good and the quantity was decent. We had porotta and chicken curry in the main course and they tasted good too. We wrapped our dinner with some beers and that was about it. Cons: A little annoyed by the service. The guy serving us was super slow and needed to be reminded every now and then. Just a one off instance maybe. Overall, a decent experience at Cochin Fort.

The restaurant is right at the centre of Fort Kochi, and it manages to grasp the full essense of the place and its vibe. The food is so good with a wide choice of options and they have beverages too, both alcoholic as well as non alcoholic ones. We had a kalanchi (asian sea bass) grilled in malabari masala, a portion of jasmine rice and a prawns sizzler. The fish and prawns felt especially fresh and it was cooked to perfection. They have a very lively ambience with either record or live music and a very vibrant crowd in the evenings. A must visit place if u go to Fort Kochi.

Ahhhh, beer in Kochi. What a welcome thought. We didn't realize that Kerala was a dry state, so we totally figured that there would be beer a plenty there, especially considering that there is a very large Christian population here. To our dismay, this was one of very few local joints that actually did serve beer. It was also priced high (supply vs demand afterall) and only had tourists frequenting it. The food is nothing to write home about, the one and only attraction really is the cold beer, go here for that after a long day in the hot sun!
