I'll start with the positives, great location, and the breakfast was ok. Now onto the bad stuff, it's not often I leave a hotel room cleaner than I found it. There was noticeable grime, particularly in the bathroom, and the bedroom had a stale air about it with dirty bed linen. The cherry on the top was a bathroom towel which had been scrunched into a ball and left with visible mud attached to it. Yum! Our next big issue was the rats, big juicy ones on the stairwell which is nicely littered with bin bags, I wonder why the rats like it. A welcoming return after a long day in Mumbai. Onto sleep, the hoteliers clearly thought that they must drown out the relentless horning outside our window to help us drift off by refurbishing other rooms overnight during our stay (they're probably very much in need of doing up if ours is anything to go by(!)). The banging, crashing and chatting sent us nicely into the arms of Morpheus. Finally, I said the breakfast was ok, and it was, but it still came with skin covered coffee, an unpleasant surprise at best so worth a mention here for other unsuspecting recipients. When we voiced our disappointment, the manager told us to cancel the booking because we were making a small issue too big. The room is a hole in the wall - there is no window, or sunshine The staff refused to provide daily housekeeping (despite the website promising it). Reason being “Humko dusra kaam bhi to hai.” There is absolutely no privacy - I was woken up at 6 AM by people talking at the end of the hallway, sounds of kitchen utensils, and someone’s loud TV in the room besides us. Before booking the reviews that I could find were good and the location was very central so I decided to take it, but when we arrived we found a building in which in each floor was a different hotel. Our hotel was on the third floor, we carried the luggage the whole way up, since you don’t get any help. Then we found a hotel with 10 rooms and no windows, the room and bathroom were very dirty, we immediately asked if we could cancel and get a refund but it was not possible so we decided to stay. It was a very bad experience, we were unsafe and uncomfortable and outside the hotel in the building there were rats since it’s an old construction.
