Sea Palace Hotel Mumbai — Hotel in Mumbai

Utterly disappointed with UNWELCOMING STAFF!

While the location was undoubtedly convenient, the staff's complete lack of hospitality ruined the entire experience. NOT A SINGLE employee I encountered, especially in the restaurant, offered a smile. In fact, they seemed visibly annoyed whenever we ordered any food - why open a restaurant when you don’t want to serve guests???? The front desk staff was equally unhelpful and impolite, making me hesitant to seek assistance for even the most basic questions. Additionally, the laundry service was consistently late. (But of course it was conveyed as if it was out fault in the first place that we sent some clothes for laundry) While location is important, it cannot compensate for such an atmosphere. The staff's demeanour definitely left us feeling unwanted...

Hotel is average and ok place to stay for a day or two. Situated in one of the prime locations of Mumbai that is near the Taj Hotel and the Gateway of India. This has sea view rooms but not easily available, always pre-booked. Food is nice, service also good. Rooms and passage are bit narrow, could have been better. The blanket provided in our room was not upto the mark and very small and thin in size being a double bed blanket, but somehow we managed. Complimentary buffet breakfast is available which is a plus point. Also, very important point for the car owners is that car parking is available at the backside compound inside the Hotel so you won't have to pay 400 bucks to municipal people for having your car parked outside the Hotel...

Best part about Hotel Sea Palace is the location. Right opposite Gateway of India. Next to Taj. People are nice but the management is quite laid back and unorganised. Parking is within premises but on the rear side of the building. Difficult to find it the first time. Better to take one of the boys along to park the car atleast the first time. No valet service available during the day. They arrive only in the evening for the restaurant customers. Restaurant has a great view. Located on fifth floor with a sea view.
