Mezban in Colaba is one of those old gems where tradition meets taste, and it has carved a niche for itself, especially for those who relish Arabian flavours. Although the menu mainly concentrates on Mughlai, North Indian, and Indian Chinese cuisine, the dishes here are subtly blended to match Arabian taste profiles, with all meals being less spicy but rich in flavour.
The ambience is straightforward, offering both AC and non-AC sections for family and non-family seating. The AC section, in particular, has private dining tables for up to six people, which provides a more intimate dining experience. There's nothing over-the-top about the decor; it’s just a decent, comfortable restaurant where the focus is clearly on the food.
When it comes to meat, Mezban excels. The chicken and mutton dishes are exceptional, with the meat always juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried, whether chicken or mutton, left us fully satisfied.
Starting with the Chicken Manchow Soup was prepared with less spice and colour compared to the usual versions, making it taste slightly different but still enjoyable. The highlight, however, was the Chicken Crispy, which was mind-blowing! Its unique flavour and melt-in-your-mouth chicken pieces make it a must-try, whether as a starter or paired with a rice dish.
We also had the Mutton Ribs (Putt), which were perfectly cooked and served with Bukhara Rice, forming a delightful custom platter. The mutton was soft and flavorful, making it one of the standout dishes of the meal.
For the main course, we opted for the Seekh Kebab Masala, which did not disappoint. The butter naan served alongside was also spot on.
In terms of pricing, Mezban strikes the right balance, it’s reasonably priced for the quality and quantity offered. The only minor downside is the slightly slow service, and they do not accept UPI payments.
Overall, Mezban deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its consistent quality, fantastic meat dishes, and reasonable pricing. A must-visit for anyone in Colaba looking for delicious,...

I rarely write reviews, but the service at [Mehzban] was so bad that I felt compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. We waited [half n hour] to be seated, despite several empty tables.
The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. Our server was nowhere to be found most of the night, and when they did show up, they were rude and dismissive. Our food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and poorly presented. To top it off, they got our order wrong and didn’t even apologize.
We ordered chicken tandoori they shared a chicken batter(tittar)same as small chick.
I expected much more from this place, but unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. With so many other options, I won’t be coming back here again. Save your time and money and go somewhere that actually values...
