With indoor as well as outdoor seating, this place has got my heart. Picturesque ambiance. The service is cordial and the staff has got good knowledge about the dishes they serve.
This place serves Lebanese, Arabian, Egyptian, Turkish, Moroccan, and Iranian cuisines. I must say, they have got quite a decent skill to make people happy with their variety of food.

They serve varieties of water too. Rose water, orange blossom water, and camphor water. Tried camphor water. This one had a perfect camphor feel. You are supposed to try this camphor water.

Read moreMaffy's - This is all about Maffy the Traveller who has been to the lovely Cities / Lanes and Bylanes be it Istanbul/Damascus /Egypt/Lebanon/Morocco/Turkey. From there he decides to bring back his memories and start Maffy's In Mumbai. His Place has a lovely Middle Eastern Vibe. Not heavy to the eye at the same time gives you that Middle eastern feel. Sea Palace - Colaba a perfect location to open this Pan Arabic Restaurant which serves food from Central Asian countries. Many Innovations (Rose Water/ Orange Blossom and Camphor) these are a must try, their signature Water. Started off with a shot of Spicy Guava which woke me up followed by the famous Doogh Laban (Thick Curd/Shake) this has dried mint and a dash of salt.
Coming to the dishes - small portions.
Original Hummus - classic with a nice balance of Tahini/Olive oil/ Lime juice and Garlic. Had a smooth texture served with small fresh Pita Breads made in house. (They have a good variety of hummus to choose from)
Mohammra - another must have dish when you visit an Arabic Restaurant. This is all about getting the spices correct. Fire roasted red bell pepper/Walnuts and Pomegranate. A tad sweet. Maybe their way of making it. Basically a Levantine Dip. Smooth in texture.
Labneh - No rocket science. It's Creamed Greek Yogurt (Thick) normally it's on a sour side. Again a tad sweet. A dash of Zattar, cucumber crescents. Interesting to have crisp Boondi along with it.
Salads - opted for Fattoulle (a Mix of Fattoush and Tabbouleh) again a must try dish at any Arabic place. Basically it's half and half. My preference will always remain the original recipe.
Hot Sharing Plates - Maffy's Bahraini Potato Chap (Loved this) Interesting presentation. Lovely texture. Nice balance of spices and herbs. Stuffing of Goat feta/Spinach/Mashed potato/Brown garlic went well. To add and give the hit Spicy Harrisa balanced and enhanced the dish.
Dubai Samboosa (This is famous dish) Mini stuffed with Cheddar. Coasted well with shaved parmesan. Went well with Mumbai Aachar dip. This was served with lemon-chilli. Overall gave that sharp/citrus taste. Nice. Skipped the Soup/Pita Toasties.
Char Grilled - Must try their Ruiyan (Jumbo Prawns) Lovely flavour. Char grilled to perfection. Juicy prawn kebab. This has to be their signature dish.
Kebab Kash Kash - Meat all the way. Made just perfect. Minced to perfection. Served on skewer. Interesting marination. Parsley/pepper/garlic. This was shaped like a kebab grilled and served on a bed on tangy tomato sauce made in house. Try out.
TIKKA MAFFY's - one of the best i have in recent times. Soft/juicy perfectly marinated. Good hit of Chilli pepper/lemon and olive to give the sheen. Served on a skewer. Piping hot. Do not miss this one.
Pide (Hand stretched Turkish Bread) 4 options in Veg. Opted for the Mediterranean. Nice crust and sheen. Veggies with Olives/ cheese topped with micro greens. Good.
Mains - Small Portion of CHICKEN MACHBOOS. This is a dish from Bahrain. Like a Biryani. Shredded soft tender chicken along with rice/nuts and Laban (Laban sounds interesting) it's a meal by itself. Balanced flavours/herbs/aromatic and the spices. Overall a great Rice dish.
Dessert - Nothing comes close to the Umm Ali ( Signature ) Smokey touch to this lovely bread pudding ( rich ) loaded with Multi berries compote ( gives that tangy taste ) and nuts. Missed out on their Baklava lollipops.
Overall - the chef has given a twist to the original recipes. If one removes that, the food speaks for itself. Service is fast. Portions are good. Pricing interesting. Menu is VAST. Do try...
