Masna House — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Loved my stay at Masna House! Masna is an excellent host, warm & incredibly helpful. The hot water is almost instant, and my room had AC, though the fan was sufficient for me. The breakfasts were superb--they make great coffee, and I got hooked on the banana pancake. There is a beautiful garden with a fountain. ||||The location was great--very close to the Palace, restaurants, and about 30 min. to the Monkey Forest on foot. The spa I like was a 15-min. walk. I hired Masna to drive me down to Sanur--so easy! He was also available to drive me to places in Ubud, but I walked everywhere. Next time I will go a little farther afield, and take him up on it.||||I had a medical issue while I was there, and they were amazing. Masna was not home and it was 5 o'clock, so his wife called the clinic to make sure they would not close before I arrived. Masna's sister, whom I had not met, gave me a helmet & took me to the clinic on her motorbike. She insisted on staying with me even when I said I would take a taxi back. The doctor determined that I needed a specialist at the big clinic across town, so she drove me there & again insisted on staying. (By this time it was dark.) She translated for me, stayed with me during the exam, then drove me home after helping me to get my medicine, pay & get a receipt. Masna, Tutnik, and family were the best hosts in a family-centric environment. We brought our infant who soon became a beloved guest -- we were all so warmly welcomed and cared for. Both Masna and Tutnik went above and beyond in their care, their thoughtfulness, their warmth, and their generosity. They were the best part of Bali, for our month-long stay.

Our room was glisteningly clean. Always. The A/C was very good and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE (I'm talking as comfortable as our bed at home)!

It was a joy to see the women of the family walking to and fro with offerings throughout all hours of the day and evening. Gramma took a special liking to our baby, which was incredibly sweet.

For Ubud, it was pretty quiet, too, and all the neighbors were friendly. And it was only about a 6-10 minute walk from the Center.

Masna and Tutnik planned trips for us. Masna is an excellent driver (very safe and experienced). They arranged laundry for us. Tutnik made our baby little toys out of palm fronds... So many things!! We felt so cared for. - Rebecca,...

Perfect location to live in the center, walk down to Main Street!

Amazing hosts, so kind and friendly, they really care of this place.

In the rooms you will see local design, but everything is new, beautiful and very comfortable.

Ac is working, few minutes and it will be cold inside.

If you are sensitive for sounds road are close and you can hear bikes, but if it’s fine for you, no problem

Tiny small room, don’t plan to spend a lot of time inside. My plan was to rest, be out and just chill - it’s perfect location and I think very cheap for that.

Recommend this place for solo...
