My wife and I stayed here for about one month and loved it. To say our stay was amazing is an understatement. Wayan, Dayu, and family are wonderful hosts and Balinese ambassadors. They are extremely friendly, courteous, and thoughtful. They made it a point to ensure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions about Bali and the culture.
The property is beautiful, featuring a breathtaking mural and colorful gardens. The rooms are clean and spacious, furnished with a large bed, desk, night stands, wardrobe, and vanity. The bathroom is modern with a flushing toilet and overhead shower with hot water. Each room has a large patio with two chairs and small table for you to enjoy your meals or relax.
Each morning, breakfast is served between 8-10am (earlier or later by request if you have morning plans). Breakfast includes a plate of fresh fruit, fresh juice/smoothie, and a main. It’s a great way to start the day and also save a little money. They typically clean the room and refresh the towels and bedding daily but because we stayed for a month, we opted to have our room cleaned every three days.
Wi-fi is available but can be unstable from time to time. However, this isn’t unique to Omank, as connection on the island is generally not the greatest.
Overall, an amazing stay - our favorite in Ubud. It’s an excellent value. Not only do you get a nice room, you also get genuinely kind hosts who will exceed your expectations. They have become like family to us. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend...
Read moreBest homestay ever! If not best, the most AWESOME ever! Best host ever in my bali trip so far! Friendly and attentive! The host has this mother vibes to their guest. So you feel like your mother is taking care of you. (Atleast for me)
Awesome rooms! Big and spacious! Most comfortable bed ever i’ve slept on throughout my trip in Bali. Cold AC. Awesome hot shower. Water pressure is ON POINT for this kind of budget homestay. WIFI is decent enough to do your daily stuff. Its only 10MINS walk to the city center.
And breakfast included! The host serves FRESH fruits for breakfast that was bought from the early market nearby. And best banana pancake ever! Also included tea or coffee of your choice. Once you wake up, you need to inform the host to make your breakfast. Either will delivered to your room or you can dine at the dining area.
If you ever need transportation or activities or any info you can directly ask the host. Best homestay in ubud! Will definitely come back and stay here! And i would recommend you guys to do so as well. And did i mention that the toilet IS BIG AND SPACIOUS as well? Yeah, you...
Read moreI think my stay would’ve been quite different if there hadn’t been ongoing construction at the homestay. I wish I’d known about it in advance, so I’m sharing this now to help future guests.
I wouldn’t expect the construction to be done soon, so it’s something to keep in mind when booking.
I had originally planned to stay for 4 nights but only slept there once. The noise started just before 9a.m. each day, and I’m not sure when it stopped.
The family is lovely and welcoming, with even the grandparents living there. This may be why there aren’t many reviews about it.
The room itself was small for my liking, but the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and breakfast was decent. I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy due to the construction, though. The bathroom had a clogged toilet, a bit of a smell, and I even found a cockroach. I had to take a quick shower to avoid it overflowing, and it wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped.
It could be a nice place once the construction it’s finished, but it’s up to you whether to wait or not.
I just wanted to share my experience cause I wish I knew it before...
