We were not impressed when we turned up and the lock to the outside shower leading to the room was broken however the staff dealt with it well and we moved rooms straight away. Aside from the staff being very friendly, I wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms weren’t particularly clean and there were ants all over our bathroom floor. The WiFi didn’t work and it was difficult to sleep at night given the noisy air con (which didn’t do anything because it was positioned around the corner from the main area of the room), the persistent light coming into the room from the outside lamp and bathroom light which did not switch off. The swimming pool area was not pleasant with only two sun loungers and looked dirty so we did not use the pool at all - we didn’t see anyone using the pool the whole time we were there. Aside from this, the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly, although not English speaking. The price was good but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if the above...
Read moreWe stayed here for a week in April 2018. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is adequate but we did not eat any other meals at the hotel. The rooms were clean, but a little musty and as the hotel was obviously not busy at this time, had been closed up for a while and there was some mould on the toilet seat - frankly this should have been replaced as it was marked, but a quick wipe and it was fine. Showers are outdoors which is fine, as it's private, but may not be everyone's cup of tea. The rooms are small - we had an extra bed in ours as we were three people, so it was cramped, but for the price, we can't complain. The pool is small and there aren't many loungers, but we only used it once and it wasn't busy. Great location with good restaurants around and a shop at the garage across the road for snacks for the kids. Some renovation to the building could be done, but considering where we were, I think it was well kept with...
Read moreWe wandered aimlessly (deviating from my itinerary), in search of a delicious but close restaurant to eat dinner. We settled on Casa Ganesha, which I wasn't overly excited about, but agreed nonetheless (particularly as we were all hungry and my parents really couldn't walk much further). The place was empty and it hadn't jumped out at me when researching the area.||Well...this was another fine example of Bali surprises...||Absolutely hands down the best Nasi Goreng I have ever tasted! All my father wanted was Nasi putih and peanut sauce (Rp.15k) - without a doubt the best peanut sauce yet. My mum wasn't very hungry and only ordered fries, but had fried Ice-cream for dessert; firstly surprised that the Ice-cream inside was chocolate and the dish was dressed with pomegranate sauce, but ooh'd and aah'd till the last mouthful. The only slight disappointment was the "beef ribs", which could not possibly have come from a cow 😕...
