A homestay tucked away in an alley off of Jl Sukma Kesuma, Tabesaya, ran by a very, very lovely family, which gives you so much value for such a reasonable price!
Mbok Arina, Meme Praety, Bape Wayan and Bli Komang are the best representation of Ubud and Balinese hospitality, they welcome you as if you're relatives visiting family in your hometown.
I stayed here for a month since the end of November until the end of December 2022, and nothing can come close to describe how great my experience was staying here. Praety Home Stay really attracts a great crowd, where everyone naturally connects and feels like they're a part of the larger Ubud community.
The rooms are very well cleaned and maintained daily, and the complimentary breakfast every morning itself is VERY worth the price of stay - you get so much value out of it.
Meme Praety and Bape Wayan were so kind to set aside some of their time to teach me the Balinese language and the Hindu Balinese religion and culture, and for that I cannot express how grateful I am to them.
Highly suggest you put Praety Home Stay in your list of places to stay if you're visiting Ubud. Personal preference would be to ask for a room at Praety 2 on the third floor - you will be treated to a beautiful view of Tabesaya from there, and an even more amazing view from their rooftop.

ย ย ย Read moreAMAZING stay. I can not recommend this place more! Beautifully decorated, great location, absolutely amazing breakfast each morning, very nice and helpful owner and family, and good free WiFi.
Everything from the cosy walkway in to the canopy beds and beautiful wooden doors to your room - its like living in a magazine. The grounds feel like an intimate garden with patios peeking out. Your own private patio at that.
You're not on the main road, so it's quiet. However there are restaurants and spas/salons a minute or less away. It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to the Palace, and there's a lot in between.
I don't understand how this huge delicious breakfast is complementary. Everything we've had has been amazing. The fruit salad is huge! Please look at the photos I've attached - this is magazine worthy. You order from a menu they provide, then dine in your own patio. This was my favorite part of each day.
The owner is so helpful! You can ask the price of anything and she'll help you out. Also we rented a motorbike through her - easy!
The only drawback is there's no AC. But after the first night we asked for a stand-up fan to have in the room to help the overhead fan. Perfect fix. We extended our stay after that first night, to five! I cannot recommend...
ย ย ย Read moreStayed here with my partner and two friends. When we arrived Praety, the owner, walked us two minutes down the road to Praety 2 as our friends had already checked in their, to ensure we were all near eachother - this was so kind. ||The room was beautiful, Balinese style, with a lovely bed, bath(!!) and great decor. |The surrounding grounds of the homestay are also lovely, full of plants and water features. ||The breakfast is AMAZING. Each morning I tried something different, from pancakes, to sticky-black rice pudding (must try!) and sunny side up eggs. If you chose fruit you also get an amazing fruit salad each morning, which is huge and presented beautifully. ||Location wise the homestay is situated In the heart of Ubud, and you can walk to the Monkey Forest, market and various restaurants in no longer than 10-15 mins. But despite its super central location, the homestay is quiet. ||The staff are so friendly. They always served breakfast with a massive smile on their faces, chatted about our days and said goodnight when we returned home. ||I cannot recommend Praety...
