I stayed 3 weeks at this most delightful hotel. It was absolutely spotless, room was spacious, beautiful bathroom, cosy comfortable bed, fridge and kettle provided and a beautiful view overlooking the famous Monkey Forest. ||Yes the monkeys do walk around the property and it is advisable not to leave belongings on the balcony or leave the door open unattended, however these monkeys are not aggressive and do not attack. It is not advisable to feed the monkeys, attempt to touch them or grab their babies. Unfortunately you do get some stupid or drunk tourist who do not follow the rules. The staff are excellent in controlling the monkeys and keeping them away from the restaurant or pool area. Unfortunately the beautiful Balinese carved doors are being changed to western style doors, due to whining tourists, very sad.||The staff here are extremely helpful, friendly and wonderful people. Please understand wherever you go in Bali the staff are not 100% conversed in English or your language, please be patient and polite when speaking to all Balinese, they are not unfriendly or rude, they just don’t always understand what people are trying to say to them.||The breakfast here was more than adequate and far more than what most people eat for breakfast at home, the pancakes were absolutely delicious and fruit beautifully prepared, eggs of your choice are also included should you prefer instead of pancakes. The lunch and dinner menu was delicious and well priced.||This property is right in the heart of Ubud, walkable to everywhere central with tons of shops and restaurants on the doorstep. |Overall this was a wonderful stay and l will definitely be back. Best when booking, book directly with the hotel, stipulate your exact needs, some rooms come with aircon some with fans, some upstairs and some down, some with Forest view and some with pool view. Be precise when booking anywhere in Bali.||Anyone staying at this property will be absolutely delighted with their choice of accommodation. Have...
Read moreWe booked 7 nights and stayed one. The room smelled like mould and the wall next to the bed was covered with it. The bedsheets were damp and the whole room was too. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The door is locked with a padlock and basically anyone could get in there. We needed to run the shower (cold side to get hot water) for 10 minutes before getting hot water. There are a lot of Monkeys around, but they don't seem nice at all, so don't be fooled by other reviews and be careful. Outside is pretty noisy as there are construction works and the main (and very loud) road is very close. The breakfast is not impressive at all. And finally, we left for 3 hours and came back to a room that was supposed to be cleaned but the only thing they did is brush the floor (without moving things around as we found a plastic bottle behind the bed, that was there for I don't know how long, and dirty q-tips in the trash). We left the second day and when we gave the key back, the owner was telling us how we paid for it and should cancel online to get some of our money back, when the property policy is clearly no refund at all after the first night (and the...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay here, amazing location, very close to the Sacred Monkey Forest. Both mornings we were visited by some of the Monkeys who came up onto our balcony. Some might not enjoy the close proximity to them, but they didn’t cause a problem. (they only spent about 10 mins outside and soon went elsewhere) We found this made our time here more special. The staff do a good job of keeping them away during breakfast as well. ||Breakfast was enjoyable, which came with coffee/tea and the option of fresh fruit, a few different options. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Pool area looked nice, however we didn’t get a chance to spend much time there, the garden areas were also amazing and clearly well maintained by the staff. ||The door to our room was secured by a padlock, some might find this a little bit concerning compared to the use of keycards etc, but not much of an issue in my opinion. We couldn’t get any hot water in the shower either, but we didn’t raise this as an issue due to the heat. ||Overall a really nice hotel, small and welcoming with only a few issues experienced. Would definitely recommend a...
