Nice room and and excellent location; just a 5 minute walk from the beach and in the heart of the shopping area. Unfortunately, hospitality was hard to find. Things started well, we met Antonio in front of the hotel and he let us into our room. Two days in he informed us that he had given us the wrong room and we would have to be ready at a certain time the next day to change rooms. While we felt no incentive was given to change rooms and did not want to repack all of our things after we'd settled in, we decided to be nice. We woke up early the next day and switched rooms. The room was dirty from the guests before us and we were told the maid would come by to clean it later on in the day. We returned to the room in the evening to find all of the food in our fridge gone. We had spent a good 75 Euros the night before to stock the fridge so we could ultimately save money and not spend it at restaurants. We had transferred this food to the new room. When we confronted Antonio about this, he said we should've left a note and that it must have been "dirty" meanwhile everything was sealed and very clean. He then proceeded to say "sorry" and ignore our requests for any compensation for the food or the entire situation. To be fair, there was an older man who my friend and I believed owned the place, that saw us enter the hotel twice and both times asked how we were doing and if he could get us anything. We were led to believe that the owner probably had no idea about the inconvenience we had...
Read moreWe have had a wonderful vacation in Amalfi Andrea's House. The location in downtown Amalfi is perfect. You can easily walk to the Duomo (cathedral), the harbor or take interesting paths to visit the surroundings and enjoy splendid views of different landscapes. The room is quiet and the facilities include a kitchenette that allows you for cooking breakfast and simple meals if you so desire. Really outstanding is Andrea himself (and his family), as he really cares for his guests, is very friendly, helpful and has first-rate suggestions for places to visit, restaurants, excursions, etc. Amalfi is a very beautiful and lively place: it has art, history and nature, either mountains or sea. It is also a good base to visit other locations. We felt at home and strongly recommend...
Read moreThe location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from the town center and about 10 minutes from the ferry port, making it very convenient. The rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with a great security system, which made me feel very safe throughout my stay. While the apartment is on the second floor and requires a bit of stair climbing, it’s absolutely worth it. What truly made the stay special was the host—Andreas was fantastic! He went above and beyond with helpful tips and a detailed guide to exploring the area, which I really didn’t expect. It was a real pleasure staying here, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting who wants to stay in the heart of the lively...
