The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable with its proximity to the world famous Uffizi and All'Antico Vinaio. At check-in they offer recommendations for places to visit in Florence, including the top tourist destinations and lesser-known gems, as well as some excellent neighborhood restaurants to try out. They also carefully walked us through the process of getting into the building, which is secured with two locks. However, it's worth noting that they do charge a progressively higher fee for check-ins past 6 p.m.||The room is spacious with two-level space, with the bedroom located on the higher level and the living area on the lower floor. The kitchenette, small shower stall, and separate toilet area are located on the same level as the living area. Unfortunately, the sofa in the living area was dusty and triggered our allergies, causing swollen eyes and sneezing. The wifi was down during our stay, which was quite inconvenient. We informed the hotel about the issue, but it didn't get resolved during our stay. Room service is provided every other day, which we were not aware of when we made the reservation. However, the cleanliness of the room is high. |Lastly, it's important to note that the hotel only accepts cash for the city tax, so be sure to have that on hand before your check-out. The location of the hotel made our stay in Florence...
Read moreWe spent a few nights in Florence and were so happy to have Corte Dei Neri as our base. The apartment is perfectly located within easy walking distance to all that you might want to see. In addition to the "sites," there are many restaurants, stores, gelato shops and beauty to keep you fully engaged. Our experience was top-notch starting with excellent communication. We happened to have a car while in Florence, and received clear directions about where to park. Unfortunately, we arrived late to Florence, but Marzia met us with a warm welcome and was very accommodating. She took the time to share a map, and even offered to come back the next day to go over it in more detail. The room itself was charming, clean, and relaxing. We had everything we could need or want. My kids loved the balcony/loft where they slept. The building is lovely, and feels very secure. You actually have to go through a beautiful, locked metal gate to get to the stairs! Once upstairs, there is a shared space (with a coffee maker) where you might meet with other guests. That would be neat if you were traveling with a friends or families who want some personal space. One thing to maybe note, if it applies to you, is that I didn't see an elevator. If this is a need of yours, please ask about it. Overall, we highly recommend...
Read moreWe stayed at Corti dei Neri during a recent trip to Florence, and would be happy to stay here again. We originally were planning to stay just one night, but we liked it so much and were enjoying the city so much we stayed an extra night. Marzia, the operator, was kind and attentive to anything we needed.||||The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the riverside, and about halfway between the Ponte Vecchio and Santa Croce. It is quick walking distance to the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Uffizi museum. And the street it is located on, Via dei Neri, is lined with dozens of great places to eat - from coffee bars to sandwich shops to elegant family owned restaurants.||||The rooms and common areas were clean. Both rooms had a loft where the bed was located, with a couch, tv, sink, and bathroom on the main floor. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower and bathrooms were clean. The location get safe, with a main door to the building, a locked gate inside, and of course your own door. ||||Marzia was so sweet and accommodating to our change in plans, and she communicated kindly and frequently for our booking and before our arrival, in spite of silly questions I had. ||||We would definitely...
