BV Quarry Matera - Restaurant & Hotel — Hotel in Matera

My Wife , our little son and I spent 2 days at Quarry Resort . We were delighted by the incomparably stunning architecture of the venue : the ambience is unique and certainly the N1 hotel in Matera today . Our room was upgraded to an amazing suite with a marvelous pool where all 3 of us enjoyed bathing several times a day , fantastic ! Likewise the hotel structure, the personnel was impeccable , attentive to details and requests , but at the same time respectful of privacy and space , really well done . We enjoyed a super yummy breakfast : pastries were so fresh and tasteful that I could have eaten tons of them ( especially the chantilly cream brioches WOW !!) , the “on order” cooked omelette were delicious especially the one with bacon and onions . Last but not least Enza and Gianluca , the Owners , although managing a real 5 STAR luxury hotel with all amenities and caprices , host you like being at home : the courtesy , simplicity and kindness have no equal ! A Truly Unforgettable Stay

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Their warmth and attention to detail created an atmosphere that felt more like a home than a hotel.

The hotel was immaculate—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well organized. The surrounding scenery was absolutely breathtaking, offering the perfect backdrop for a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.

The food was nothing short of incredible—each meal was a delight, with fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes that left us looking forward to every bite.

We’d like to give a special thanks to Maria at the front desk for her kindness and constant support, to Daniele our waiter for his exceptional service and warm personality, and to Egidio, the hotel manager, whose leadership and care were evident in every aspect of our stay. Each of them played a key role in making our experience so special.

This resort is stunningly beautiful. As you near the hotel you will be wondering if booking it was a mistake, as all the surroundings are so modern. Matera is built into the hillside so as you approach the hotel from the top plaza, it reveals its true stunning beauty. We stayed in a Jr Suite with pool (think massive jet tub) that is carved into the rock. The bathrooms truly are spa like, and are absolutely huge, with dual showers. The rooms and property are spotless….cleanest I have seen in my travels throughout Italy. There are robes and slipper provided and the bed and pillows were extremely luxurious which provided us with amazing nights sleeps.||The rooftop restaurant offers stunning views and a wide assortment of options. The meal we had was excellent. Breakfast is literally in a cave and they cater to pretty much anything you desire. The staff and service overall was top notch, and provided the level of service you would expect from a resort of this calibre.||Overall this was one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had.
