I love, love, loveeee this little hotel!

Every staff member that myself or my fiance spoke to was incredibly kind, accommodating, and as a bonus - spoke fantastic English. As quite a cleanly person, I was very impressed at how impeccably clean the hotel and all of its common rooms were kept. There were some light renovations in the front desk area and hallway and even so - there was no dust, no mess, no noise, and the gentlemen doing the work were all incredibly kind. They even helped to move our bags when we arrived several hours before check-in.

The breakfast was wonderful and everything was delicious. There was a great variety of pastries, fruits, cured meat, cheeses, jams, etc.

I had read several reviews prior to our trip and noticed that some people mentioned that there was no elevator, which is false. It's a more compact elevator, which is not unusual in Europe - I thought this was worth mentioning as no one wants to drag suitcases up several flights of stairs if it can be avoided.

As for the rooms, they were extremely clean, well laid out and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you're lucky enough to get a room that opens to a little balcony, it's an absolute treat. My fiance and I loved to have our morning coffee out there and it's a great way to let in natural light and fresh air.

The prices are extremely fair given the quality of the hotel and the proximity to many of Rome's most beautiful attractions. You're literal steps from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and some of the best shopping in the city. I've stayed at several other hotels in this area and honestly, at this price point - you're not going to find a more beautiful or comfortable stay. I would 100% recommend and can't wait to go back!

EDIT

I just recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel again and am so happy to confirm it is as beautiful, clean, and well taken care of as it was during my first stay. A truly charming, tucked away gem in the heart of Rome. The rooms are lovely, clean, and extremely comfortable; the breakfast is still absolutely delicious and as I mentioned in my original review from 2022 - the employees are 100% the most incredible part of the experience. From the cleaning staff to the front desk, everyone is so incredibly kind and helpful. It is an absolute pleasure to stay here and I cannot wait for the opportunity to...

During my recent stay at Charme Spagna Boutique Hotel in Rome, I found it to be an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a mix of comfort, elegance, and convenience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel exuded a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure that my needs were met, offering helpful tips on local attractions and dining options.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a short stroll from the iconic Spanish Steps and close to many of Rome’s most famous landmarks, including the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. This made it easy for me to explore the city by foot, soaking in the historic ambiance without the hassle of long commutes.

The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with classic Italian design. It was spacious, with a comfortable bed, and impeccably clean. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a rainfall shower and high-quality toiletries, which added a touch of luxury to my stay. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, from the plush towels to the well-stocked minibar.

Breakfast was a highlight each morning, served in a charming dining area with a good selection of pastries, fresh fruits, and hot dishes. It provided the perfect start to my day of sightseeing.

One aspect that stood out to me was the hotel’s quiet ambiance, despite its central location. After a day of exploring the bustling city, it was a relief to return to such a peaceful environment.

Overall, my stay at Charme Spagna Boutique Hotel was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. Its combination of prime location, elegant accommodations, and superb service made my trip...

Hotel is lovely and clean and the room we had (no 2 ) was nice and spacious with a comfy bed and good shower.|We could have done with a warning that the there were a few steps in the entrance hall and that the lift was so small that only one person and a case could go in at one time. You also need to make sure it has fully stopped or you get stuck.|The door was open when we got there but we didn’t know where we had to go for reception and we were fortunate that somebody passed us that could let us know that reception was on the 1st floor.|The WiFi was atrocious. Apparently they were having issues with it but they said it had been fixed it was still painfully slow and would drop out a very other minute.|Our stay was not cheap so we had hoped for a little better amenities.|We stayed one night at the end of our tour also before the flight home and this time we had room 8 which couldn’t have been more different!|The room itself I would say no more than 8m * 5m.|The shower was minuscule and difficult to get into and close the door!|Only a small chair to sit in and didn’t seem like the promised 20sq metres.|It did has a tiddly little outside ‘courtyard’ area but adjacent rooms also had them so if somebody was outside then their conversations could be heard easily so not at all private!|The staff however are very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was fine although it was a self service coffee machine with only cardboard cups to use!||Possibly par for the course in Rome to pay a lot but...

We arrived in the evening to this hotel, we were directed up to a second floor where the reception was, reception looked like it was in partial renovation but this was just a bit of paintwork, otherwise it was decorated well, we were met by a lovely, friendly young man who took all our necessary documents then walked with us to our hotel room, this was located nearby in another building, it had a couple of outer doors that we were provided keys for to open (they were open in the mornings), we were then taken up to our room, hallway leading to room had slight smell of mustiness but nothing overpowering. The room was nicely decorated and, clean and tidy as was the bathroom which was decorated with stone panels, slight bit of mould in bathroom, by window, but these buildings are so old it doesn't surprise me. Towels and complimentary toiletries were provided. We spent a comfortable two nights here. The hotel is within walking distance of The Spanish Steps, The Trevi Fountain and The Pantheon and you will find lots of places to eat along the way.

We are very unhappy , please do not book again at this hotel. We wanted to make a reservation and they told us that you can leave the card details as a guarantee, but nothing will be paid from your card and then they tried to take the money from the card without notifying us at any time. They even do this without having a CVV (the three numbers on the back of the card). After that, I called them on the phone to ask why they didn't notify us and they answered us in high tones.
