Wonderful hotel near Termini station. Everything you could want for a happy stay. Helpful, friendly staff who helped me to solve a problem on arrival at night. Beautiful old building with ornate ceilings and classic decor. It is worth staying here just to use the lift!
Spotlessly clean, with crisp white sheets and waffle towels. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Kettle in the room and a good bathroom with toilet, bidet and cubicle shower. There is a small kitchen and dining room. WiFi is available. Directions from Termini station ( see photos) Stand in front of the exit and look straight down Via Marghera opposite. Don't turn right or left walk straight down on left pavement until you reach the main road. Turn left and no 64 is right there. Some destinations are easier by bus rather than Metro. The bus station is also there outside the main Termini building. A supermarket is at the bottom of the escalator for snacks and drinks. The airport shuttle bus stops nearby. Take mosquito repellent, I got bitten a lot. I had trouble finding a Covid test tent without a long line. I found one finally at Trastevere when I went for lunch. Price 22 Euros. Results...
Read moreI booked one night at this hotel through Booking.com about five weeks before my stay. Afterward, the hotel started sending a payment authorization link via Booking.com chat and email, which I completed. It turned out to be a scam, and €280 disappeared from my account. It took about a month to resolve this issue, during which my bank refused to help, but Booking.com eventually stepped in. The hotel did not respond in any way, only sending a message saying, "this is not from us," without any apology or assistance. They even continued sending fraudulent messages afterward. Due to this specific situation, I requested a cancellation of my (non-refundable) reservation and a refund, but Booking.com couldn’t resolve it because the hotel was unresponsive. They didn’t communicate with me about this either, just as they didn’t during the scam incident. I don't understand how this hotel is still listed on Booking.com. If you don’t want to deal with anything like this, definitely avoid this place and book...
