Hotel Beauty is one of a kind. If you want to spice up your visit in Roma with a little action then this hotel is perfect for you! After we arrived we were challenged by the hallway which resembled a maze. There was no light, even the light switches didn't work. After about 5mins we finally found the way to our room which is quite impressive by itself, since it is impossible to get lost in that hallway cause you can only move into one direction. We entered the room and got welcomed by a lovely smell of the bathroom. It kind of smelled like all the rubbish from the streets of Roma were channeled inside that bathroom. Apart from the smell, the bathroom was really good. The water pressure of the shower equals a water spray gun of the lowest tier. It really showed to me how much Hotel Beauty cares about our environment and about water waste in particular. In case you're too impatient, just workout inside your hotelroom, you'll definetly get wet faster this way. The room itself was delightful. No air conditioning, no fans and a small window to the backyard. If you plan to come here in summer, you'll experience how getting fried alive feels like. At night it was cooler outside than in the room even though we had our windows opened for hours, making it impossible to fall asleep. Again - I highly appreciate the effort of Hotel Beauty to remind us about global warming and its consequences. Next to our room, there was a second room which was all dark. The windows were boarded up and you could barely see something in there. Ever wondered how actors feel like when they play a role in a haunted house? Well Hotel Beauty will give you all of this experience for free! After our 2h ghost seance where we got to know some cool dudes who apparently died decades ago in this room, we decided to spend the rest of our time (about 5h) outside and wait there until our shuttle to the...
Read moreStaff were pleasant, although upon check in had to wait a long time, was quite annoying, as I had been travelling for hours to get there and just wanted to get checked in, set my ru smack etc down and chill for a little bit. Location is decent. Otherwise, really not that great. Rooms are clean, and it’s not the worst place I’ve even stayed, definitely not - BUT; upon arrival the room I booked was right beside the road AND in the other side of the room right beside the reception - so pretty noisy. Due to this I moved rooms; I got a private room (as was my first one), but unlike the first one this one also had an en suite, which was more or less fine. However - the bad points; Wi-Fi, which I think should be pretty basic is consistently abysmal - jumping in and out constantly, to the point it is largely useless; some of the lights fuse when you turn them on, I’m on the 4th floor and the big, low, open window had no bars on anything - you fall - you die; shower didn’t even have a shower head - you have to wash, rinse, wash rinse (not the end of the world, it’s more just that such a thing costs so little time or money); shower also had no door - and the shower tray is very small, raised and curved (hard to describe, but basically, if you’re not careful could easily slip and whack head off toilet etc, so kind of dangerous - and not even a shower grip mat or even a food tray/towel for getting out of the shower; door to the room is also not particularly strong. As I say, not worst place ever, but I would not stay here again - I only did because my original booking cancelled. Not to sound all millennial, but the Wi-Fi thing was...
Read moreI recently booked a private room with a private bathroom at Hostel Beauty in Rome, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Upon arrival, the room was in a completely unacceptable condition. The bed was covered in stains and hair that clearly didn’t belong to us, the shower had hair and bobby pins left behind from previous guests, the floor hadn’t been swept or mopped, and to top it off, there were other people’s clothes still in the room.
But it gets worse—the private bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was urine on the toilet and bathroom floor, and the shower curtain reeked of human urine. Given the state of the room and bathroom, we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay there any of the four nights we had booked.
We tried to resolve the issue by going to the front desk around 8:00 PM on the first night, which was well within their stated reception hours, but there was no one available to help us. As a result, we were forced to book another room at a different location out of pocket.
Despite being assured by the front desk when we were finally able to find them the next day that our concerns would be brought to the manager’s attention and that we would receive an update on our refund, I have heard nothing back. I’ve reached out multiple times to the property, but they’ve completely ignored my messages.
This place is a complete disaster. The lack of cleanliness, the urine-stained private bathroom, and the absence of any customer service make this hostel one to avoid at all costs. I highly recommend staying elsewhere—spare yourself the frustration and the...
