The review applies only for the restaurant part.

The atmosphere was really good! Quite modern and cozy.

The service was average at best. The staff was kind and rather speedy! However, we weren't informed that half of the menu is not available (all of the pizzas) for the current evening until we sat down, got drinks and actually made our choice and placed the order for 2 dishes... To make things worse (some bad luck) the second choice apparently also got sold out, right after we placed the order, so we had to change again.

Now the food (0 stars). First dish (chicken burger): frozen fried chicken from the local super market (most common and one of the cheaper versions), bread bun - half edible, half struggled to cut it with the knife. Extremely underwhelming compared to the description in the menu. Potatoes were okay. Second dish (cannot recall the name, was pasta with tomato sauce, aubergine and cheese): snacking quantity, pasta was just warm enough, on the verge of being undercooked, the sauce was the one you can get from the local store when you are in a hurry and want to make something quick at home.

The cost of the two meals combined: 36 euros (excluding drinks). Definitely not worth it! The waiter gave us a small discount as an apology at least!...

This was our third time visiting here as a family. My daughters ordered one well-done beef burger and one chicken burger this time. The waitress who took our order seemed to misunderstand us, likely due to limited English, and mixed up what we wanted included or excluded in the burgers. We didn’t make a fuss about it, but the chicken burger was like chewing wood — absolutely terrible.

My daughter told the waitress she couldn’t eat it and didn’t like it, and asked for a well-done beef burger like her sister’s. But even that burger was undercooked — when you bit into the patty, you could taste and smell blood. She couldn’t eat that either.

When we asked for the check, they brought a bill of over €90 for two slices of pizza (sold by weight), two colas, one beer, and one water. They also charged us for the inedible chicken burger we had sent back. We didn’t argue and paid the bill.

I suppose because we’re tourists and likely not returning to Rome, they felt they could get away with charging us for poorly cooked food. This is not honest business. If you don’t know how to make a proper burger, don’t put it...

I just had the worst experience with the manager at this restaurant. We were asked to come back later for a table, and when we returned, the waiter let us in without any problem. But then the manager approached us in front of everyone, and in the most disrespectful and humiliating way, told us they couldn’t serve us. The restaurant was about 70% empty, with plenty of open tables, so there was absolutely no reason why we couldn’t be seated inside. Instead, they insisted we go outside. It felt as though we were being singled out and treated unfairly in front of other guests.

When we asked to speak to the manager, he rudely responded, ‘I am the manager,’ and gestured for us to leave. The entire interaction was deeply disrespectful, discriminatory, and outright racist. It was clear we were being treated differently because of who we are, and the manager had no problem making a scene in front of everyone. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I will never be returning. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers and treats them with basic respect, avoid this place...

I visited Rome with my wife over the course of 2-3 weeks. We ate lunch and dinner at this spot almost every single day. At the end of our trip, we added it up and the amount of times we visited was over 25! Of course, we tried other places but no place could compare to the food and service we received at Molino. From the cappuccinos to the pastas and the calzonis to the tiramisus, everything was always delicious and freshly made. And then to have people like Zim, Michele, and Aurora (among so many others working there), it felt like we had found “our” spot. We wanted to specifically shout out Zim and Michele though. By the second week, we would walk in and be greeted warmly with, “Would you like to sit at your table?” (Table number 22 is the best in the house!) We really felt at home with this wonderful group of people and this delicious food! We’ve been back home in Chicago for 1 day and already missing Molino and the people there dearly. To the staff at Molino, please please please keep doing what you’re doing because you’re perfect!

Out of all the places in Rome, Molino won our hearts ❤️ Of our five days in Rome, My husband and I found ourselves frequenting Molina the most. Wether you need a cappuccino and croissant for breakfast, a sandwich for a midday snack or lunch, or drinks or dinner later in the evening, Molino has it all. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our last day here thanks to the exceptional service of Michele. We were unable to speak a lick of Italian, but Michele conversed with us and was super accommodating. For our few days here we (sort of) became his regular customers and he was always hospitable and made us feel so comfortable and welcome at the restaurant. He made out last day in Rome so wonderful and even recommended we finish the day of with aperitivo, Aperol Spritz, and limoncello. Please give this place a try if you come to visit! 🤍
