We stayed here for 2 nights and on the morning we were leaving, we realised there was liquid all over the floor. We called in the receptionist to where he picked up a bottle connected to the air conditioning and we both watched liquid leak from the bottom. I then realised that my bag with my passport had been affected and soaked in this liquid. Basically I had to go to the Embassy to get a new one but they blamed it on us and said "you tipped the bottle over" which was not true as the bottle did not get touched by me. I was very angry as I had to miss the train to another city and was stuck alone in Rome with no compensation offered or accomodation offered from them (not that I wanted to stay there again). They were also hesitant on writing up a letter that describes the incident for my insurance as they thought they would 'get in trouble'. On my way out, I told them they need a locker or safe so that people could keep their valuables in. Our doom room had no key and did not lock and they didn't give us the code to the outside door. After asking a hotel besides , they told us that the hotel had a huge fire and was burnt. The least one could expect is an email or some information from the their end.
