My Rooms in Vatican City — Hotel in Rome

I had a wonderful , relaxing stay at My Rooms In Vatican City. I would award it 5 plus stars if I could. I was sole occupant of the Deluxe Double Room. The room was spotlessly clean with a balcony over looking the main street. It had a flat screen television with Netflix, You Tube access when you are not out and about with a coffee maker, mini fridge and kettle.

The bed was a king size, very comfortable too. Had an ensuite bathroom with bidet, rain and hand held showers with clean towels and toiletries supplied ; shampoo , shower gel. Bathroom in tasteful italian marble decor. Just don't turn the taps on full, gently does it. Also there is a daily room cleaning service. I could hear next door's dogs barking sometimes. But not for long . It is really generally quiet. No noise from other guests either despite a nice communal seating area. With a tear off map of Rome and the sites available too. Nice touch.

I stayed 4 nights between 21st and 25th April 2025. A strange time due to the passing of Pope Francesco. Cinzia and her daughter Chiara kept in touch from before and after I landed via Whats App. They were both very professional , kind and welcoming on my arrival. Recommending places to eat nearby and were always on hand if I had any questions regarding any aspect of my trip. That was a real bonus. They went above and beyond service wise. Especially Cinzia. Good luck with your studies Chiara!

Accommodation is very close to St Peter's Square and the Basilica. This is accessed via an underground walkway at the bottom of the street on the opposite side. There is a bus stop almost at the entrance to the building with nos 62 and 64 buses stopping there. Note as one way street they don't stop there on the way back but at bus stop after coming through the big tunnel or keep on them to the main train station terminus and walk down to the accommidation.They go near to many sights. E.g. Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona. You can also walk over the bridges at the Tiber to many sights. 20mins roughly. Depends on how quickly you walk!

It is a 5 minute walk from S.Pietro train station. Slightly downhill and uphill slightly on way back.You can get the train straight from Fuimicino Airport for €8 single. Go via Travestere Station where you change trains. Takes between 40mins -65 mins depending on time of travel and connections. That is another bonus re location. You can use travel connections from that train station too to go around Rome or further.

I needed a good break. Which I had. It is in a quiet but lovely location. I would say it's excellent value for money with an authentic Roman charm. The building is old but well renovated and maintained. The lift is small but authentic cage style with three doors. I found it charming.

The apartment is on the second floor so walkable. Also very secure. In particular I would recommend Cresci for breakfast and eating in general nearby, plus the Japanese restaurant Roma Naki. Just across the road and up the street towards the church. A little pricey but Roma is!The little place across the road on the corner for a drink and a small pasta plate is great too. There are shops and other eateries about too.

Overall a great place with an authentic slightly up scale feel. I would definitely go back if I were to visit again. Great hosts too. Highly...

It was a pleasure, Alessandro is a great host. He recommended a lot of good places and restaurants. You feel like you just arrived to your good friend. And the room? Bed - super comfy, bathroom very nice and clean. It also has a balcony with view on typical Italian street. I mean there was NOTHING we didn’t like. Highly recommend!! And...

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in den „My Rooms in Vatican City“! Die Wohnung ist super schön und modern eingerichtet – genau wie auf den Bildern. Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem riesigen King-Size-Betten, in denen wir hervorragend geschlafen haben. Es war sehr ruhig und durch die Klimaanlage angenehm temperiert – ideal zum Entspannen nach einem Tag in der Stadt.

Die Lage ist einfach top: In nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß ist man direkt am Vatikan. Auch das Badezimmer war neu, sehr sauber und stilvoll gestaltet.

Ein großes Dankeschön an Alessandro, den Hotelier! Er war jederzeit erreichbar, unglaublich hilfsbereit und hat uns sogar die passenden Zugverbindungen vom Flughafen herausgesucht. Seine Restaurantempfehlungen waren ebenfalls super.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gern wieder....
