Looking for a hotel in Rome with great views, prime location, that won’t break the bank? Try the Numa Rome Barberini Hotel. I stayed in the Medium Room with Terrace and enjoyed my stay. They have a/c, an elevator, and you can add on transportation from the airport or daily breakfast for a small fee. I’d recommend this for your next trip to Rome. #romehotels #wheretostay

All booking websites should inspect more about hotels like Numa, it's impossible to be a 4-star hotel or even a Hostel! All booking portals should inspect more about hotels like Numa, it's impossible to be a 4-star hotel or even a Hostel! Everything is automated with no reception desk or anyone can support it, just a chatbot that gives me orders like GTA Mission!!! before I landed at the airport they sent the PIN CODE and room number via WhatsApp which again was a challenge to have the internet to get my password to access the hotel. Starting with the chatbot if I asked for any human support someone rude from CS responded to me on WhatsApp (like today I filed a complaint and the CS agent asked me "No need to be angry and don't raise your voice!!!" First, the Breakfast is a complete joke, there is no breakfast in the hotel and I have to walk almost one KM in the morning to have breakfast, and no open buffet, I have to check 4 set menus before 4 PM otherwise they will give many the available, of course, I missed this breakfast and I payed for it. The standard room is extremely small and the towels are torn and overused I have no one to ask for towels, everything on WhatsApp with a chatbot!! The Check-in/ Check-out has no exception for any late or early check-in they going to penalize you if you pass the 11am checkout and again you have no one to engage with. Overall, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and on top of that, the hotel was very creepy and I felt insecure in that place. (I thought its a social experiment or something)

P.D. El papel higiénico es lija

I stayed at this hotel during a conference in Rome with a colleague. It was the only nearby hotel with two available rooms, and based on some website photos and urgency, we decided to book — despite the extremely high price of approximately €200 per room per night.

Upon arrival, we discovered there is no reception or on-site staff. Check-in is done online, and you receive an access code for both the main entrance and the room. While the code worked for the building entrance, it did not work for either of our rooms — both were assigned the same faulty code. After contacting them via WhatsApp and waiting over 15 minutes, the codes were finally reset, and we could enter.

The rooms were shockingly small — almost Japanese capsule-style — though I must admit they were clean and the bathrooms well equipped. Still, they did not justify the cost in any way.

The biggest disappointment was breakfast. It’s served in a small room by a waiter who did not speak English or Italian, only South American Spanish, which made communication impossible. The food was of very low quality: cold, oily potatoes, cheap sausages, a basic omelet, and instant coffee — all served on single-use plastic plates and cutlery. I felt humiliated. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, this was unacceptable.

The next day, around 15:00, I attempted to rest, but the cleaning staff was making excessive noise, shouting and banging in the hallway. I had to step outside and ask them to stop, as it was impossible to relax.

Additional issues:

Only one very small elevator.

No facilities for disabled guests or wheelchairs — which is truly shocking in 2025.

Absolutely no value for money.

I strongly discourage anyone from staying here, unless perhaps you want to punish your enemies. I travel frequently and I can't recall a worse experience in recent years. I don’t know if a refund is possible, but I firmly believe this hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating — it should be classified as a 1-star at best, and only because of its...

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and genuinly enjoyed it a lot. Yeah its no contact but every time we arrived or left there was someone in the foyer who was welcoming and that we could talk to. What i would say is its loud like the cleaners were very loud in the halls talking at full volume whoch normally would be fine but the room is small so it felt like it was right beside my head. There were full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body was, hand wash and hand lotion which honestly I loved because most hotels only have tiny ones. Couldn't hear anything from the nightclub below which was good. I do think the sheets should have been changed like even tho we only stayed 4 nights Italy is HOT. but we did go for showers before we gor into bed everytime to make sure we kept it as clean as possible. The location is rlly good like it was a 10-20 min average walk from hotel to most of the main sights. I rlly enjoyed it but tbh im not too fussy abt hotels i just need somewhere to stay so I do understand why someone wouldn't be satisfied...
