Relais Luxury Corso — Hotel in Rome

Dirty carpet. Noisy room. I booked a superior room and got a standard one. I talked with the receptionist about it and they told me it was a superior (I compared it to the website pictures and it was clearly not what I had paid for). There is no service a part of the receptionist giving you the key and taking it back (when the reception is opened, as it’s closed in the afternoon). You need to asks questions as there is no pro activity (not even to get the WiFi, which was not working in our room). We did not have the products in the bathroom as per the pictures, just 2 small bottles of cheap shower gel. No breakfast. And when asking about it, they looked lost and advised a small bar next to the office (we found something by ourselves 5 min from the hotel).|And when asked if they could call a taxi for the airport, they said “you need to book one day in advance and it costs 65 euros”. Just to give you an idea from and to Fiumicino it’s a fix price of 55 euros. they just want to charge us 10 euros for a simple call, insane. We decided to walk 10 min under over 30 degrees and full of languages to the next taxi station. Worst hotel...

This is a 2-star hotel at best. Perhaps I just misunderstood when I booked it but I thought it was a three star hotel. The pictures looked relatively nice. There is no reception area. The front desk is a tiny rundown office at the top of some stairs. Our room is OK but there are stains on the carpeting and it just doesn’t appear clean. The air-conditioning was not working and we slept in 27°C the first night. Although we requested it to get fixed, nothing was done. I stayed here for six nights, and the location is excellent. The street is busy, but even though my room faced the street (4th floor), I couldn't hear any noise. The room was very compact but sufficient for one person—perhaps a bit cramped for two.

Cleaning was done daily, but, for example, the dust on the head of the bed had been left untouched for some time.
