Definitely recommend this place! I have never felt so welcomed at a place before. ||I was worried about parking in Montepulciano, and someone mentioned parking wasn’t an issue with this hotel, so I booked La Terrazza for that reason. We loved our stay here! I called Roberto, the host and owner, just before we arrived and he told me exactly where to meet him (Parking lot #6). He spoke better English than we spoke Italian, that’s for sure. Once I arrived, he took us to another level of this parking area where only permitted cars can park, and as one of his guests, we were allowed to park here. We then climbed into his car with our luggage, and he took us to the hotel and checked us in. Inside the town, the streets are extremely narrow and there’s hardly room for people to walk, so I would never have wanted to drive inside the town! ||The hotel is between two streets, the upper and the lower level street. The parking lot is closer to the lower street. We stayed here for 3 nights on the top level of the hotel, which had a bedroom, a sitting room, and also a shared outdoor terrace patio. Internet in our room was good - 42.8 Mbps down / 11 Mbps up when I ran Speedtest. There is a downstairs area, with a small reception area and breakfast room. Breakfast was included, and here we met Victoria, his lovely wife. We had espresso, fruit drinks, yogurt, croissants, salami and cheese, and some other baked goods every morning. They have two long haired chihuahuas, Rambo and Quattro, who we met. Roberto and Victoria made us feel so welcome. Every morning, we would have a conversation with Roberto, and he would give us advice on where to go for lunch and dinner. Simply a wonderful experience!
When you first arrive at La Terrazzo di Montepulciano, Roberto will greet you, and tell you “ When you stay at my hotel, you are staying at my home”. Nothing could be more true. If you are looking for a five-star hotel with spa, restaurant, and room service, this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a unique, warm, and friendly stay in Montepulciano that you will never forget, this is the ticket. Maybe a bit difficult to find, but, not too bad. |The hotel is clean and perfectly located in the center of Montepulciano with many restaurants and wineries within walking distance. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There is a bit of street noise, but then again, you are on the main street of this beautiful town, and the noise quickly disappears when the restaurants close. |Roberto and Vittoria will make you feel very welcome and help with anything you need. Breakfast is continental, and served wonderfully each morning by your hosts. |For us, this was such an unforgettable part of our visit to Tuscany, and we felt that we met several memorable guests during our stay. But most of all, we came away feeling that we had made friends, and experienced a unique part of Montepulciano.|BTW - be sure to enjoy some of Roberto’s Vino Nobile di Montepulciano , and check out his son’s pizza restaurant, just down the road.
Beautiful, a iconic hotel in Montepulciano. Owner Roberto and his wife are really kind persons, guest oriented and very helpful if you need it. Rooms are in classic Italian style, I like it! Hotel is clean and breakfast is tasty with sweet and salty. From jams to chocolate, from capuchino to fruit juice, from croissant to salami, raw prosciutto and cheese. You can also enjoy beers and wines and local alcoholic drinks as grappa. WiFi is good: never lost signal and fast. Beautiful panorama view, you can enjoy also two terraces. Hotel is set in the historical center of Montepulciano, rally few minutes walking from the main square and the most important locations of the town as the Medici Fortress, the main church, museums and Cantinas. Easy to reach it! I really suggest you to spend your Montepulciano holidays in this beautiful hotel!! Trust me: you'll like it!! Hotel finally also offer car parking if you reach Montepulciano with a car (that's strongly suggested) if you want fully enjoy Tuscany countryside!! Unfortunately that place lack of enough public transportation as trains and buses! So, see you at Hotel La Terrazza?
