Best dinner ever - Montepulciano’s hidden Gem!
We enjoyed an incredible - very delicious dinner at La Pentolaccia!
We started with the appetizer with pecorino cheese melted over Italian bread with very condensed onions - we asked Christiana, one of the owners, for her suggestion, and we went with it! While we aren’t big onion lovers - absolutely incredible
Then my husband ordered the Sea Bass with potatoes - oh my goodness - the fish was very fresh, light and flakey, and the potatoes super thinly sliced with a little crispness - he loved it all
I went with the local lentil bean soup with croutons - amazing (I know their pasta is great - just have eaten so much over the last 3 weeks here - went with a healthy - very yummy choice)
Christiana and her sister, Alessia, are the owners and work hard at this fabulous family restaurant.
Can’t wait...
Read moreThe lady with blonde hair reacted super rude and without little bit of friendliness as we walked in. Understand that there are limited restaurants in village, unfortunately they are full when we entered, the lady told us there are no tables for us with bad manners, it's like they don't mind to have our business, actually there are 2 tables for 4 person, but it's not enough for us, and we suggested that we can sit outside and we don't mind to split tables as we saw they are tables outside the shop and we were told "I scare cold' and she refused to serve us.
Conclusion, foods serve at your restaurant might be tasty, but the attitude and serving manner is important towards customer to provide dining satisfaction. I strongly NOT recommend this restaurant to everyone! I don't pay to get...
Read moreI am so confused by the positive reviews. I can only assume that most are fake. The prices were cheap, but the food was very disappointing. Possibly the worst meal I've had at a sit-down restaurant. There was no salt or flavor on anything. We had the Tuscan soup (flavorless) and fish soup (incredibly fishy flavor). The antipasti was a potato cake and prosciutto. It was a large mound of flavorless mush covered in an obscene amount of prosciutto (uncooked, no texture). We ordered grilled beef medium rare. It came nearly well done with medium in middle, no salt or seasoning, with unseasoned sliced tomatoes. It was supposed to have rosemary...there was one tiny leaf on the plate. We ate almost nothing, and the waitress didn't even ask if we liked it when she took away our nearly full...
