Wow wow wow! What an amazing experience. We booked for one night at Osteria Del Borgo on our two week driving holiday in Italy. ||The property is solid and pretty perfect for us. We booked a room with an external bathroom (that was all that was available at time of booking). When we read about the external bathroom we were a little worried. Did not quite know what to expect. There was nothing to be worried about! The room was perfect and the bathroom only to be used by us was also perfect. Best shower we had in Italy, amazing pressure and hot indeed! Okay the shower is a little small but the bathroom itself and the room itself was very spacious. Got everything we needed, for towels, hairdryer etc... ||The bed is very comfortable and our room had a little sitting room with the most spectacular views over the valley.||I woke up early in the morning to watch the sun come up and hear the cockerels waking the town up. Absolutely blow your mind way. ||The owners were incredibly lovely, friendly and could do enough for us. They offer a 10%discount it you dine with them . The restaurant has a outside terrace looking over the valley. ||We dined elsewhere as we already booked in advance but came back to have tiramisu and coffee, delicious! ||The only thing you need to know, no view comes without a hike up several flights of stairs. There is no lift but at least the stairs are wide and cool. ||No air conditioning in the room. Early June we were fine, being on top of a hill there is a cool breeze. ||Definitely...

Read moreWe came here after carefully selecting a restaurant post wine tour in the area. The food was fine, but the entire experience left us feeling it was pretty subpar. For one, our main waiter was snarky when we asked if it might be possible to switch up the ordering of our dishes incase we can’t finish the T-bone steak because of the pastas. We were met with a shrug and response “well this is what we agreed on, right? What are we going to do about it?” It definitely shed light on the other poor reviews that mentioned the terrible staff attitude. I do want to note that the two others who also waited and served our food seemed pleasant, so perhaps it’s just one bad egg.
Sunset was beautiful but it’s important to note that it’s not visible in your purview unless you sit in one of the three or so tables facing the sunset, since the sun sets off to the right side.
As for alternate dinner options, we saw many other popping restaurants as we drove by and were recommended a few options by a local, so this does not have to be a must-go if you only get to have one meal in...
