While wandering through town in search of the perfect spot for a drink, we stumbled upon Enoteca La Dolce Vita, and we’re so glad we did. Tucked away like a cozy wine cellar, it had exactly the kind of warm, inviting vibe we were looking for.
The food was amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, but the standout was hands down the best tiramisu I’ve ever had in my life. On top of that, the wine selection was unbelievable, they seemed to have just about everything.
I asked our waitress for a bottle recommendation based on a few preferences, and she didn’t just bring one, she brought three options to the table and gave thoughtful, detailed explanations of each. I ended up choosing a limited production local red… and, in the most unexpected twist, we unknowingly toured the vineyard where it was made the very next day and met the winemaker! Total full-circle moment.
This was easily one of the best dinner vibes we experienced during our time in Tuscany. If I ever make it back to the area, I’ll go out of my way to return for the atmosphere, the food, the wine, and...
Read moreMy first fine dining meal in Montepulciano. It was in this enoteca, a wine tasting room with kitchen. I tried dishes that were unusual such as seafood soup (like bouillabaisse) with toast. This was a little salty for me. But it went well with the plain Tuscan bread. Also, I ordered a side of seasonal vegetables. A very pretty plate. The vegetables were tasty while just passed al dente (slightly too soft). But you could top some toast with them and make a yummy veggie crostini. The staff was really excellent. I was curious about a dessert wine from Felsina. My server gave me a free taste! By the glass, this 2012 uve stramature is €7.50. To finish, I got the marscapone with cantucci and berry fruits. Absolutely delicious! Overall, a very good dining experience. Not perfect but very good. I recommend Enoteca La Dolce Vita. Reservations for dinner are a must to be able to dine inside where it feels like you’re in your own...
Read moreIf you can, go and find another restaurant. The appetizer was the best and the wine! This two is sooo good, but the main course was really bad. We were really hungry cuz we don’t have lunch yesterday and i saw in the menu table my favourite: carbonara, so this is why we choose to eat here. But … the carbonara was not carbonara, it was really bitter taste, the pasta was bad too and the bacon is …. THE WORST i have in my life. It’s dripping in fat. The another main course was like bolognese just without tomato sauce and without any spice. I saw the other table a hamburger maybe we should have chosen that. Overall, i would never go back and i wish we go upper in the street to find another but real tastes. If you go there just for an appetizer and a good wine it’ll be a good choice. Ohh and the staff was...
