The restored palazzo is beautiful, and you feel like you are minor nobles in the city, stepping into the beautiful entry and the rooms are exceptionally nice. The folks here are super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is very wonderful. As far as location, you couldn't be in a better place to step outside and be right where you want to be. Finding the actual entry to the hotel (it isn't a typical hotel with a big sign and entry) is a bit tricky, so just make sure to really follow the directions. Similarly getting to the drop off point involves some hairy navigation through what seem like pedestrian only roads, but once you get brave enough and finally find the one parking spot nearby you can use to load and unload, and then manage to get back to the P6 parking lot to park (also a bit tricky to find and navigate), the location of the stay couldn't be better for a one day stay here, and be right in the middle of everything. Definitely a very different type of stay from hotels and Airbnbs (basically a beautiful blend of the two, so a nice way for us to have mixed up our stays in italy to try a bit of variety)....
Read moreWe stayed one night in this hotel which we found through Booking. The hotel is located in the old center of Montepulciano, access is possible by car or on foot in front. As soon as we arrived, the hostess Federica was lovely and helpful, showed us to our room and advised us where to dine, what to visit etc ... We were the only ones in this traditional Italian Palazzo, whose charm and position in the city are perfect. The room was spacious, well decorated and had all the amenities you need for a short or long stay. The shower room had a double shower, very popular for a romantic weekend. We slept very well in this comfortable bed after a little spritz. We noticed an odor from the sanitary facilities which was coming back up and mentioned it to our hostess, but that did not prevent us from a memorable stay. The breakfast was good, plentiful and of high quality! Parking is available, you have to walk approx. 10min to get to the car park. Personally I loved the experience and would recommend anyone planning to move to Montepulciano! Thanks again...
Read moreBest place to stay in Montepulciano. Saw the 5 stars reviews before we booked, the 5 stars were not exaggerated at all. This is a 4 (or 5) rooms hotel in a huge apartment. The rooms felt newly renovated, we had a living room with sofa converted to a sofa bed for our son. Very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom has a jacuzzi, so new and luxurious. Location is ideal, situated right in the village/ downtown where all the shops and restaurants are. Saves us from driving during our 3 days stay. Breakfast was specially prepared for each room in the common area, what a spread every morning! Great service by staff too helped us made multiple restaurants bookings, winery tours and also mandatory Covid test appointments before we return home. The only regret was not staying a few days more here! So if you drive, this hotel offers free parking but you have to drive to a specific parking area dedicated for this hotel, which is about 10mins walk. Drop your bags at the hotel before parking. Enjoy...
