Best restaurant in Montepulciano - by far. Cozy trattoria style restaurant with 6-7 tables and a short menu. Vittorio and Cristiana will take care of you like you are family. Everything they make is incredible. Real, homemade, delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. They are genuinely nice people and have been kind to me every single time I've been. All of their dishes are spectacular - but if you ever see Pici con crema di ceci con guanciale on the menu - order it! It's the best dish in Montepulciano, absolutely delicious. Great experience overall. Started with an eggs with truffle dish, simple but let’s you taste the good flavor of every bit of truffles that came in generous serving. Their hand made pasta “Pici” is a must try. We ordered a carbonara style sauce with it, pici cooked to perfect al dente. Meat from the duck confit was falling off its bone, such deep flavors. The Steak Florentine was a tad disappointing- the T-bone wasn’t seared / charred as well on the outside as we would like it to be, also quite lacking in flavor. I discovered this restaurant through Google Maps reviews, and I'm thrilled that I chose it. We started with bruschetta and the day's special, which was fried egg with truffle. We also shared a tomato soup with bread. It was absolutely fantastic! The flavor of the tomatoes reminded me of my childhood. Afterward, I had pici ragu, which was also amazing. We shared a lamb dish and absolutely fell in love with it. For dessert, I had tiramisu, and my husband had panna cotta with blueberries. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was out of this world!
