We were a table of 2 and we turned away because we were told there were no tables and they were fully booked for the night. Same thing happened to the couple in front of us, so we all sat and waited for a take away.
Whilst we were waiting a table of 6 came in without a reservation and were immediately seated (right in front of us!) when I questioned the staff they said they would not sit us because there were only 2 of us…. But there were actually 4 if you include the other couple that were turned away. The tables were small tables they put together to make a 6, so there was no excuse!

Read moreWhen we stepped into Lieviti we were a little alarmed... there were only two occupied tables. Luckily as the night went on we realised we were just being extremely British by coming for dinner at 8pm... by 8.30pm the place was packed.
The food was excellent, scratching the itch we had for wonderful pizza despite recognising it's not what Tuscany is known for.
Service was a little more tricky, as language proved a bit of a barrier and as the restaurant filled up it was more challenging to get plates cleared and a bill sorted. But it was all understandable, and didn't negatively impact the experience.
