Ca' Doge - Alloggi turistici — Hotel in Venice

We were in Venice for a couple of hours and were using the parking space of this hotel. It was a "leave your key in the car" parking place and the staff will move your car around a small parking space in order to fit as many cars in it as possible.

When we came back from our tour, I was more than horrored to find out that my new car was damaged on the rear end. The staff claimed that they have insurance and that the insurance will handle everything, so I calmed down and trusted them.

The incident occurred on 12th of June, 2019. and as we are approaching November nothing was initilized from their side. My insurance delivered all the required documentation, my bank account information - but except a "we forwarded the documentation to our insurance" nothing else was said or done from their side.

I am deeply disappointed and wouldn't like for anyone to have such an experience - so be sure to avoid this place or to lawyer up if you have a bad...

It’s all about location with this hotel. If you are looking for an overnighter before or after a cruise this location cannot be beat. My daughter and I flew into Marco Polo airport and took a water taxi to the city. When you get off at the Piazzale Roma the hotel is right across the street. I would really refer to it as more of a B&B than a hotel. It is quite small, the stairways are narrow and there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage this isn’t the place for you. The room wasn’t huge or fancy, but it was clean and quiet. The bathroom had only a shower, no tub. Who needs a fancy room? You’re in Venice, you won’t be in the hotel but to sleep and shower. Breakfast is included in the next building. Light fare, fruit, pastry, yogurt. Go back to the Piazzale Roma to get on the Vaparetto and see the city. We had a single day itinerary at Venice with arrival by train & early morning flight next day .. TA experts advised staying at Piazzale Roma for ease of access to airport shuttle .. Initially I was considering Mestre & so glad TA advised me against that .. Piazzale Roma was convenient & so was CaDoge ..||Property is nicer than online reviews & photos .. Location was easy to access to Venice sights .. Room was nice & bathroom was lovely .. While we didnot have major expectations since it was a conscious selection for proximity to airport shuttle at 5.30am with large bags, it turned out fine .. Reception lady was nice & explained how to access room post reception hours .. Didnt face any issue in access .. No lift so minor trouble there but were pre-informed ..
