We love everything about this place! The location is ideal, near the train station as well as the water bus stop Guglie. Room is clean and pretty spacious. The breakfast has some good selection but don’t expect too much, you can get fresh orange juice. Service is impeccable, the staff helpful and we even got our Vivaldi concert tickets from the reception. Will stay here again if ever we’re back in Venice.

Ca Pozzo Inn is a lovely place to stay, very peaceful and quiet. A 20 minute walk to St Mark’s square though little cobblestone streets with numerous shops and restaurants. The inn has a small dining room where we ate breakfast each morning, this was a huge choice of foods every taste.

"poor customer service, staff appears to me rude to Asian tourist and friendly to caucasian tourists"

(reply) I guess your reply has become a living proof of the comment I made previously. What exactly is your intention to make such comment on my name? nickname? Pa is short form of my Surname, making a comment on people’s name is inappropriate, and I wouldn’t consider you to be very well mannered either, Miss Nicola Pornaro (the manager of Ca’Pozzo Inn apparently).

So now I see this is the attitude from a manager that runs this place. Now looking back at my previous comment, that was actually me being extremely polite, I should really rephrase it to “do not expect anything”, this place has no customer services in mind at all, providing that the manager of this place illustrates clearly how they see & treat customers, especially to Asian customers by saying,

”When people travel they tend to not read properly what is temporary contract of services supplied by the hotel provided to hem during their stay. “ “but often customers simply because they pay they pretend to have the right to do what they want when reception is closed, when breakfast is not served after a certain time when it comes to the time of check in and check out.” “Educated and well mannered clients are a different story” “people that sometimes pretend to not understand what is a local city tax due to pay” ???

Well to be honest Miss manager of this place, first of all I haven’t done any of the things you assumed from a typical Asian, and I would be angry if I were the Asian person you were trying to discredit.

When you say “educated and well mannered client”, seems like you might not be the best person to make the judgement, when you don’t seem to be talking from a neutral place at all, all I hear is you stereotyping people and their behavior, and by the way what are you trying to indicate when saying “educated clients”? does that mean non-educated clients do not deserve good customer service? This is such a joke.

“because they pay they pretend to have the right to do what they want”, to me sounds like you are saying clients shouldn’t make a request even if they paid. What exactly has your place got to offer to your clients? I am intrigued.

I would love to see how well your business will grow in a long run, a hotel owner who would react so negatively to criticism, judging and discriminating people by their own assumptions. From a good hospitality and good customer service point of view, none of the things you said make any sense to me.

To be honest with you I am a frequent traveller myself I had stayed at the best hotels in the world as well as airbnbs & motels, I wasn’t expecting anything from your hotel at such price point anyway (wasn’t interested in food & beverage from the hotel as Venice the city itself has a lot to offer), all I was expecting was only BASIC RESPECT.

And really, telling me how many years and how many Filipino staffs you worked with doesn’t mean anything at all, fact is fact, your staff were reacting differently specifically when dealing with FAR-EAST-Asian tourists, I witnessed it with my own eyes not only for one time, and those times they weren’t demanding for anything either.

And by the way, I saw a a comment on Trip Advisor, reviewed on 9 September 2017 that someone literally said the same...

This was a reasonably priced property for Venice which a friend recommended. It looked spacious and clean in the pictures.||The room was small, serviceable but dark. It has a quite convenient location in the Cannaregio. The hotel suggested we hire a porter at the train station to cart our 5 pieces of luggage- big and small- as we were at the end of a four week trip. We paid him 40 euros plus a 5 euro tip to cart them upstairs to the room since there is no elevator in the building. At least that worked on the way to the hotel. On our last day we had to lug our suitcases down the slippery steps in the rain. Not fun.||One of the staff made dinner reservations on Mother’s Day for us and also ordered roses for my husband to give me on my birthday. But there were other staff who didn’t know a lot of helpful tourist information like the water taxi schedule to the airport. We had to pull that information out of the young woman at night who, though very sweet, had very poor English. Why not have that schedule printed and handy for guests?||The breakfast was 10 euro. They ran out of scrambled eggs, had no fresh pastry and just doughy white bread. Cappuccino good. Just ate there the first day. ||No tissues in the room and there was an annoying strobe light that kept going off over the door. I dislike bedspreads that others have used and prefer clean top sheets with duvets. There were a couple of holes in the sheets we had. However the room was clean with no smell. ||Perhaps we had one of the smaller, less interesting rooms at the inn. Some of the pictures look more spacious. Be sure to ask what you are going to get though. And remember, there is no elevator.||As with many hotels, there is only someone on duty 8 am-7:30 pm. We enjoyed our stays at the hotels booked by our weeklong tour and should have searched for a comparable one more befitting of a...
