This hotel actually committing an organised scam together with booking.com. If you book on booking.com to Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza Epoca you can see pictures of the hotel and its ratings. When you arrive to the hotel they let you know that you have booked to a different building for a Bed& Breakfast (Hotel Casa Kirsch) without reception / breakfast.||At the end you can only see their trick if you click on the room when booking end at the end of the description you can see that the room is in different building, but still did not mention that it is not a hotel but a B&B.||||On the other hand the facilities are not working in the B&B at arriving we noticed a broken toilet seat asked for a change, did not happen through 4 days. Air condition did not function. They did not give new shower gel once you have finished it. The bed linen was not washed after the previous guest or at least it was as dirty as hell. 2 days out of days there was no hot water at all!||To response to Hotel Manager (Pier A.):||1. You book to Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca. You see the reviews of the hotel you see the pictures of the hotel but yes if you click on the room, there you can find that is a different building. Because you are showing there that’s why I wrote scam and not illegal fraud and that was the only reason why I did not call the police.||2. A different building which called B&B cannot be a part of a 3 star hotel especially it is 50-100 m away. The price for the B&B is the same or higher than in the main building 210 EUR/ night.||3. I could not ask for breakfast because it was not available in my building however advertised. There are no information in the confirmation that the facilities are going to be in a different building even no information that it is in a different building.||4. Good lie that the air-condition did not worked because of 15/16 degree. Check any historical database it was at least 24.||5. Regarding the cleanness I just say a picture is worth a thousand words.||I strongly recommend to answer with facts which are true and stop cheating on people. During our time at your reception we were the third ones complaining about the relocation and the staff refused to contact with the...
Read moreLeave the vaporetto at San Marco/San Zaccharia and go down calle degli Albanesi until the small piazza at the end. Cross that and go down calle Sacristia until you reach a small stepped bridge. Will take max 10 mins, 5 if you step out. Casa Verardo is on the other side of that small bridge. Casa Kirsch is back halfway down calle degli Albanesi (opposite the coffee shop). As long as you start by going down Albanesi to start with, you cannot fail. The location of this place cannot be faulted. The breakfast on the balcony at Casa Verardo, should you be lucky enough to get one of the balcony tables, has got to be in one of the best locations, overlooking a small quiet canal. The room - quiet, clean, fairly recently decorated in that "put another thick coat of gloss" way that does for a lot of hotels in old buildings. No lift, as previously mentioned, should you need one. In all honesty though, Venice really requires the ability to walk up steps! Having said all that - it's worth keeping in mind that as long as you're going to be getting a multi use vaporetto ticket, everywhere in Venice is easily reached! Would I stay here next time? Quite possibly, although I'd look for somewhere along Strada Nova near Casa D'oro vaporetto stop as well, as that looks like a pleasant area to stay. We enjoyed our stay, though, and the service...
Read moreWe normally rent apts when we go to Venice but this was a short trip (4 nights) so a hotel made more sense. I was concerned about prices so Casa Kirsch (4 nights, taxes etc=$680) definitely fit the bill. The photos looked nice and although the main hotel where you have breakfast is up the street, it looked perfect.||We got a room called Venezia (no number) and overall it seemed fine. The beds are comfortable, nice flat screen tv and large bathroom. We had a problem with the shower head (detachable) because it kept shooting over to the side (and flooding the floor). So, we tried the tub instead but that valve wasn't too tight either...oh well.||We were comfortable but the room was warm and there was no A/C (too early?). So, when you opened windows, it helped but there are mosquitos in Venice..duh! Screens would be nice or A/C. ||Breakfast at the main hotel is straight ahead- great coffee, rolls, 3 types of cereal, yogurt, cheese, ham. Nothing too fancy but honestly it did the trick.||The staff are all very nice and the LOCATION is amazing...close to all the main things you need. Great restaurant nearby...
