STAY AWAY BED BUG INFESTATION!!!! This has to be the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed at. It is a townhouse infested with bed bugs and we were bitten multiple times before we woke up in the middle of the night and noticed. We found around 10 bed bugs in only 15 minutes of checking our beds as shown in the pictures here. Because of this, we immediately left on our first night (we had booked for 2 nights) and had to book an expensive hotel last minute for our 2nd night in Venice. We had to dispose of multiple possessions and have our belongings cleaned thoroughly multiple times after our stay because of the bed bug infestation at this "hotel." There is no front desk staff and the only way to communicate with someone is through a whataspp number where they probably will not answer. When we tried to call someone about the bed bugs, the owner was unresponsive and when we finally did get him on the phone, he was unapologetic about the situation, not offering any sort of refund. After we left, we noticed that they put the same room back up for booking immediately on their website, meaning that they do not care about the bed bug infestation and they will not do anything to get rid of them. Furthermore, we booked through booking.com and when we contacted them about our horrible stay here, this hotel tried claiming that we never checked in at all in the first place. Thankfully, we took many pictures and timestamped videos to prove we checked in. Besides the horrible bed bug infestation, the whole unit was very run down, old and generally dirty/gross. Also, the wifi does not work and they will charge you 50 euros for a check in after 9PM which I have never heard of from a legitimate hotel. This place should be demolished and not be allowed to operate from a health and safety perspective.

Great location: 2 mins walking distance from Rialto Bridge, supermarket, restaurants, 5 mins walking distance from San Marco Plaza, vaporetto stop 1 minute away. NOT close to the train station but you can always walk there 20-30min walk (be mindful if you have luggage, streets are not smooth and Venice is all bridges, so lots of lifting!). Staff: very friendly young lady at the front desk, provided maps and restaurant suggestions. Answers phone promptly, not always on site but will buzz you in if early for check in. Multi-lingual. Accommodations: very old world but mostly olddddd, some might say charming, but I think it was very cramped and tight. Hardly any room for walking around the bed, opening luggage, etc. There is a small safe provided in the room, no issues with theft or missing items. Mini fridge, TV, no microwave, can borrow an iron from reception, tiny desk with chair. It's amazing how they cramped so many pieces into that small room! Very dark room, bed side lamp not working, NO AC, only heating, there was a window next to bed, so kept that open all night long. No ambient noise, did not hear (nor see) any other guests while there. Bathroom was updated with natural light, plumbing worked perfectly for such an old place, hot/cold water always available. Very tiny and only one per room (not one per guest) toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion). Lots of stairs to climb. Bed was also not the greatest or most comfortable, very creaky and uneven. Management definitely needs to install better lighting along the stairwell (see my pictures) as well as do a few updates in the rooms. I would not stay here again but it is very budget friendly.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - JUNIOR SUITE 105 - it place is crawling with bugs, my 2 daughter and I had to flee in the middle of the night - I am also sure above the wardrobe there is a camera - it is a perfect circle and no reason to be there! Luckily the Hotel Canada put us up for the night and he lovely reception guy told us to shake all our clothes in the shower to see if there are any bugs our clothes were covered,- - he did not need to take us in as we were potentilly taking bugs into his hotel we ended up leaving some clothes behind and was in the laundromat the next day washing and tumble drying our clothes The guy was NOT interested and stopped taking my calls , I rang from my daughter phone to tell him how disgusting he was still letting out the room and I can see from the reviews, after my review he is STILL letting out the room, I have since returned to the UK and have been in contact with booking.com who are looking into the matter - I will pursue this if I have to through small claims and I am going to contact Venice Environmental Health - I will not let this lie - this was meant to be an Italian Rail trip for my daughters 18th I am now back in UK covered in bites for which I have just had to see my GP which can continue to show for the next 2 weeks - he should be closed down

Sleeping with bedbugs, what a nightmare....

The location is the single positive thing about here, yet I simply would NOT recommend anyone to stay here because of the extremely poor hygiene and hazardous living conditions with the bed bug infestation. I unfortunately didn't read the numerous previous reviews on Google which highlighted this serious issue and I just hurriedly booked. Please don't make the same mistake as I. They have a range of hotels within very close proximity which I'd noticed, please do shop around. There was no one present at the reception desk or the hotel when we arrived and we had to ring bell repeatedly to gain the attention of staff, who clearly just ran over from working elsewhere and provided little due care for the guests here. I dread to think how one would have been let in to the room if it were a late arrival. More importantly, the air conditioning wasn't working when we were there with temperatures higher than 25°C at night! This was not fixed until repeated complaining. The apartment was very dusty (my hay-fever was on overdrive!) and poorly maintained. Be warned: They expect everything, including the city tax to be paid upfront when you arrive, and as soon as the payment is taken, they leave, never to be seen again. Travelling with family, my mother had complained about being bitten by something multiple times and she was quite distressed by this but I thought nothing of it as she didn't see anything the first night. I had spotted small insects on my sofa-bed but just brushed them away and went to sleep the second night (something I regret doing now after everything has unfolded). My mother was constantly bit even more so the second night, and upon closer inspection, spotted bed bugs on the mattress and her clothes! Upon our return home, we disposed of many items of clothing where the bed bugs had 'ingrained' themselves into the fibres of the clothing and all other bags and items had to be deep cleaned. Please avoid this place at all costs. It was a horrible experience and I'm genuinely surprised this hotel is still able to function. Nobody needs a bed bug infestation in their...

DISGUSTING HOTEL AND SERVICE - WARNING !!

No one was ever at the reception, it was really hard to get ahold of them. Had to call different times before we could come in, once we were in there was a guy that works there that came out behind the reception without shirt and shoes, definitely shocked we were here. When we got our room we were shocked by the smell and dirtiness of the room. The plug ins for our chargers didn’t work, also when we got our bags back after we left it at the reception they were dirty underneath. There were bits of insects on the wall, mold on the walls and in the refrigerator that didn’t work and smelled so bad!! The smell filled the whole room. There was blood on the pillows (noticed before we went to sleep) and again, no one at the reception so we had to call the number. They didn’t apologize or whatsoever, instead he told me to write a note to the management and to go sleep on the blood stained pillows. He didn’t let me speak and told me they weren’t our slaves when I asked for a new pillow. He said it was too late to call with issues. I recorded the whole call. 45 minutes later we received new pillows filled with mold !!!!! In the hallway there was water leaking from the seeling and it was falling on us. The stairs were drenched in water while in didn’t even rain outside so no idea where it came from. Can’t believe I paid for this and I want to kindly ask you to pay us our money back !! NO breakfast NO single beds like I asked NO view on the city, instead a view on a wall from another building. Which I all paid for !!!!! Airconditioning barely worked, smelled and made a lot of noice. I am DISGUSTED by how they treated us, the reviews, the room and basically the whole experience!!! I don’t get with all the reviews you and the hotel get, they don’t take down this hotel ???? this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. You guys are moking and disrespecting every single guest that you...
