We had a good meal here. The food was well portioned and reasonably priced. Compared to some other restaurants in the neighborhood this one was less tourist price gouging and had a more traditional feel. Their house wine, like most wine in Italy, was good for the table and dinner. The spaghetti was well prepared and the mussels on my plate were all fresh with no under cooked portions. The clams were the same. The shrimp was underwhelming as they were more of salad shrimp the dinner plate type. But, all the flavors were good regardless. The inside was very crammed with little room. But this is expected in most places in Italy. They serve regional cuisine primarily. The service was good. They did not rush us and waited for us to ask for the bill. They spoke enough English to make us feel comfortable with ordering. They were patient with us as we perused their menu. We would recommend to future travellers looking for a...
Read moreThe worst experience you can have in Venice. I had one of the poorest experience when I visited any country. The waiter here, the tall bald guy, deserves nothing but being fired. I, for sure, would not come this way. Please avoid at any cost! L.E. What can you expect from such a place ? To misguide and tell their perspective and as a non-profesional business, to argue and blame the customer. This is not done anywhere in the world and you, a restaurant owner, should know better. Calling anyone, rude, makes you superficial and for sure, allows others to see how you are treating your customers / or people in general. Especially, when kids are involved. That guy, you say he is 25 yrs with you, yes? Probably you got too familiar with him, that s why you allow him this unhuman behaviour. Good luck but don't forget, the customer is always right & you don t blame the customer! Customers keep your...
Read moreI'm all about food. The food was spectacular. We had the Tuna pasta and gnocchi with pesto. Simply mind blowing. Located very near Piazza San Marco, so worth checking out. I could tell those around us were enjoying their food. The next night we went to Osteria Lovo nearby which had the same Google rating, but not even close to being as good. They seemed to cook to an American palate. Service was good enough. The restaurant facility is not what I would call perfect for a marriage proposal, but is perfect if you just want to enjoy a fabulous meal. And we spent like 30% less than Lovo. Dinner for 2 here cost us around $52. A similar place in the absurdly expensive northeastern US would be at least $120. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. Use your GPS to locate, you blink and you'll miss it. Definitely looks like the hole in the...
