I was skeptical given the price we paid & was frustrated that we had to go somewhere other than the listed address for check-in (to San Marco Palace hotel, about a 2-min walk). But as soon as we entered our suite, our worries were immediately assuaged, as we gazed upon a beautiful, huge living room that overlooked a bustling walkway near St. Mark’s Plaza. We found a small kitchen space (with mini-fridge, stove, and multi-purpose oven, but no dishes or cooking utensils which I assume were avail upon request). Then we checked out the rest of our unit & found a fairly large bedroom & separate bathroom, which was a nice size with a basic, relatively small shower. ||The only significant flaw (& it was very significant) was the bed (the mattress, specifically) which was horrible. It was springy, uneven, and wrecked my back, especially the 1st night, until I figured out that sleeping on the pronounced middle hump in the bed provided a bit of a solid foundation.||In general, we loved being so close to St. Marks and being in the midst of the action. We loved that there were SO many delicious places to eat within easy walking distance. We loved how convenient it was to the Rialto Bridge. We loved the size & look of the room. In a nutshell, it was a fantastic, almost perfect room (except the bed which was very BAD).||We would definitely recommend this hotel & would absolutely stay there again, as long as we could get a better mattress in an equal or...

Read moreExcellent location. Great Room sizes. |But please note that these are stand alone apartment suites NOT CONNECTED to the main hotel. The check in IS NOT AT THE ADDRESS MENTIONED .It is at the main hotel which runs the suites ACROSS 2 STREETS . The Hotel Management has not communicated this anywhere so you end up having to reach your suite , then call random number written on a sheet of paper stuck to the door to realize you have to drag your luggage to a different street to check in and then drag it back to the address mentioned above. And this excercise is made worse if you arrive late hours. ||So since these suites are in a seperate building , note that ALL INCLUSIONS like front desk, concierge, breakfast, Ironing (only in the hotel corridor ) is a walk across two streets. Senior Citizens note that the elevator begins at midlanding of the staircase so you have carry your bags up half a flight of steps. the pictures show a kitchenette but not that it not equppied with anything to use it other than water glasses and a microwave. the balcony is nice but is adjacent to the Bell tower , so those who like a quiet space might find the periodic bell sounds uncomfortable. Wish the hotel mangement had added a safety latch on the inside of the room door as for a solo traveller this is an important...
